  1. Essentially, yes. I wonder what will happen when the issue is resolved - do we get prioritized because of the issue or...? I kind of doubt it but it would be nice.
  2. I was not aware of this policy, I may have missed it when reading through if I was the one in question to violate it. If you could let me know where to read up on, I will do so.
  3. I think it is very normal to experience grief at parting. You might consider trying to recognize it as a testament to the strength of your desire to be TOGETHER as opposed to an obstacle. You're both feeling it because it messes up your routines and comforts. It's a natural consequence of the lifestyle and relationship you have chosen. Try to pivot your thinking a little here and view your visits as contained events. Know they are temporary now, but will cease to be temporary in the future. Express these feelings openly and discuss with your partner. Secondarily - make plans. Make a digital date night and find activities you can do together over discord. Livestream to each other, watch movies synchronously, play games together or apart but simultaneously. Tabletop Simulator is great for this, you could even involve mutual friends. It sucks to be apart but there is a lot you can do to feel as close together as possible while we all wait this out.
  4. That may be true, but they let go of the contractors last year. From what I read it was 50 postions and we aren't sure that anyone who was let go touched cases. I think we should watch closely and see what happens.
  5. We each have a date after which we can contact them, it can be found on the website by entering the case number that came on your NOA1. I believe it is roughly 1 year from date of the NOA1.
  6. Do we know why that is?
  7. Yes, it is hard not to lose heart in the face of the numbers but our time will come.
  8. Yep, saw some green today and got excited but it is only DOS. No new approvals, but multiple withdrawls
  9. Ok -first of all I did not know I could opt out. I will surely be doing that. Second of all, I got one of those APPROVED emails as well and flipped my lid for a moment. That one is an issue.
  10. I would say that it looks like 14 cases got approved in two days by my count, I'll take it Also - magic number. I'll use it to wish we all get through quick
  11. Well it is very hard to say and I don't want to make too many bold assumptions, but in an organized world one would assume that as labor finished on whatever sections are 'current' they might be allocated to one that 'remains' to mop up. In my mind it would be organized to finish late July and and early August, then do Late June/Early July (These seem to be in the same lump?) and then Late August. It just kinda looks like they are focused on working through Late July / Early August at the moment from the numbers while somebody is 'sorting' inbound applications. Who knows though, as organized and sensible as that sounds predictions are worth so little. I'd welcome other thoughts of course, and temper my assumptions with the knowledge that they are only that.
  12. here's whats up as of last week. One RFE was received and one moved to 'other' in our group. I see that 'Late July' (If we are 'Early July' ) continues to move without anything new happening with any speed from September onwards. My suspicion and hope is that when 'late july' finishes, they return to 'early july'. Now... What the heck does 'other' mean?
  13. I am absolutely holding my breath. 🙃 That said, I have a drinking straw that leads to the surface of the water... trying to be both optimistic and realistic.
  14. I also think this is how it is represented, but admittedly I am tired and not feeling very smart these last couple of days. When you say 'go under 1500' you mean to say you had hoped they would have processed enough to have less than 1500 left?
  15. Fair assessment, thank you for seconding my instinct on it.
  16. Interestingly the information in the public site and my personal case don't seem to agree. The public site shows 17 cases approved in the last 7 days and 444 approved in the last month This does not seem to align with the information on the backend of my case subscription. Maybe I am just not smart enough to reconcile the numbers..... opinions welcomed.... but it looks like these do not match. Also somewhat worryingly is that I see no approvals etc from November and december; And idea what this means? Are they simply pruning the rejections first before processing the rest?
  17. Just had a look at the numbers. In the past week, 1 case was moved from 'received' to 'Other' - no further changes or updates to the numbers on our range.
  18. I absolutely relate. My person has been in some scary situations which I would have preferred to be around for, but watching at a distance has me feeling very powerless and upset. I feel you. I hope your case is moved along quickly, it's very hard to sit by and wait while the world does not stop, isn't it?
