K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Normal time depends on many factors, Including at the time which service center, which state you filed from, which embassy your interivew would take place, etc. You timeline isn't filled out so nobody knows. -
Nobody know. I suspect immigration times will speed up after a few months of the new US Administration

Questions about PoE after K1 received
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Mixel96's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I would bring any High School or College documents to prove completions Get a DL in your home country if you don't have one, you can drive on that for a while. Port of Entry is usually very simple process, Don't listen much to what they tell you about filing AOS at POE from my experience they do not understand the immigration process. Good Luck. -
Questions about PoE after K1 received
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Mixel96's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
OP didn't say they need it for entry, Read their statement, they said " I am figuring out everything necessary for Port of Entry and the first days within the country" -
Questions about PoE after K1 received
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Mixel96's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Did you enter with her? I know a pinay who was grilled and they had her crying about her Fiance, he had a some kind of police record for getting arrested for fighting, She told me they were trying to convince her to go back to Philippines when she landed in LA for her POE she was alone. -
K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Philippines K1 Visa processing as a general rule move pretty fast. Immigration isn't fair, many factors decide how fast or how slow the process moves. Sounds like you got a the slow trian. -
K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Time is money. You would have to make probably at least 2 trips to do a CR1 Visa, so being cheaper isn't true. K1 go make a visit one time for a few weeks and boom your done and approved and your fiance is in the USA much much faster. -

K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
I had to slow down my process, I could of had my fiance in the USA from Philippines in about 2 months. I had to deal with flying over there, getting my affairs in order since I wanted to spend the 30 days length my US Passport allowed in Philippines, her doing medical and CFO, and scheduling the interview. I can only use real time results from my case, not projections I suspect processing times is about to speed up alot due to all the Sanctuary stuff is about to be shelved and processing times will start flying. -
K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Just another hoop you have to jump thru Some countries want you to take marriage classes before they will let you get married, another hoop to jump thru. Then you have the Parental Consent form for some countries, Example age 18 to 21 must have written consent from parents/gaurdians. Age 21 to 25 must have Parental Advice. That is another hoop to jump thru. -

K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
Exactly, they both live together in Brazil. That is why I asked if the US Citizens needs fly to the US Embassy in Brazil to get any type of paperwork to get married in Brazil, you are not aware that countries outside of the US can require some kind of document from a US Embassy stating the US Citizen is free to marry? -
K1 or CR1 visa?

Do the US Citizen need to fly to the local US Embassy to get any type of paperwork (to fulfill requirements) to marry in your country? -
K1 or CR1 visa?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Brooke and Bruno's topic in What Visa Do I Need - Family Based Immigration
I don't like the CR1 Visa personally, I always suggest doing a K1. But that also depends on your country and what kind of hoops you have to jump thru to do a K1 or a CR1 visa. Having to travel to get married is another barrier I don't want to deal with, and all the hoops you have to jump thru for that in some countries. I have found the K1 Visa moves much faster than a CR1 visa. My K1 took like one month to get approved and fiance was with me in USA after 3 months -
American Kidnapped in Philippines - Any updates
DELTAFOXTROT replied to DELTAFOXTROT's topic in Philippines
I am thinking his youth and being young and probably thinking he was bullet proof lead to him living in that area. He was also shot in the leg, I hope he doens't get like gang green or infection that lead to a fatality. I hope he survives but I think the odd are not in his favor. -
Does anyone have any updates or know the young man that was recently kidnapped in Mindanao Region? Reports are it was an inside job and not ABU Sayaff or other Muslim factions in the area. I heard they put him on a boat I hope he didn't end up in the Julu Solo area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rVhgQPug9k

Her age is her primary tie to return back, Tourist visa for the elderly is pretty much a slam dunk for approval. Once you get that old you have all the ties in the world to return home.

How do I withdraw my K-1 petition?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to SaltyCaptain592's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
You can Fed Ex a letter to the Embassy in Islamabad, Make it your withdrawl letter and have it Fed Ex to Islamabad, Send your back up documentation with it as well. You should get a letter back from the Embassy/Consulate Section saying "the approval of an immigrant or fiance petition is automatically revoked upon: The Formal notice of withdrawl filed by the petitioner. Letter take about 30 to 45 days to show up at your place via US Mail. -
I fly quit a bit, I find this statement to be incorrect Go to Delta Website and put in from DFW (Dallas USA) to MNL (Manila Philippines) on January 12th, round trip is like $1,573 and One way is around $850. I myself when flying dont see a one way more expensive than round trip. Flight Results : Find & Book Airline Tickets : Delta Air Lines

Interview: binders, yay or nay?
DELTAFOXTROT replied to Cranberry_anon's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
When I did mine, USCIS was using ACCO Binders, So I matched them. -
Her current education would be worthless in USA, He would of just put her in law school in USA. I was just wondering if her current education would provide anything good in USA. Only lawyer I know that left Philippines went to Canada and she went to work for a immigration company that provided visas for Canada.

So do you want him to lie? Honest is always the best policy, Nothing wrong with someone else paying for your trip especially if your still in school.
