  1. Is anyone having success obtaining a Covid booster vaccine in the next few days? If so, where are you located? We found out today that Ontario won’t have any until October, but would like to get it done sooner.
  2. Wow. That’s awesome. Congratulations. I pray everything goes smoothly for the interview and this will all be over soon.
  3. @randnev @Vicnic @AJ19962346 @MySelf23 @gmprive So in another thread, this is what someone posted when I suggested that Montreal is taking long to schedule CR1 appointments because they are clearing family preference and employment categories. “Official policy of the US State Department is that CR1/IR1 visas are to be prioritized (tier 1), and directs embassies to not do what you describe. If the Montreal Embassy is doing that, they are violating official US government policy. I would advise the original poster to reach out to their congressman (US senator or house rep), and have them inquire about the case. A bunch of us did that at the Seoul Embassy, when they suddenly decided to stop scheduling CR1/IR1 interviews. After they were contacted by several congressmen, they started rapidly scheduling CR1/IR1 interviews again. But getting your congressmen involved may be the best hope to force the embassy officials and/or NVC to behave in accountable manner.” If anyone reaches out to their senator, here’s screenshots that you can use as proof that they’ve been processing family preferences and employment category faster than immediate relatives.
  4. Thanks for letting us know. I will mention this in the other thread that I see others complaint. @JdMello4 Here are screenshots that I’ve taken that proves this is happening. Maybe you could include it to you letter to the Senator.
  5. I’ve been reading past posts and it seems the letters only go out once a month. If it went out already for August, you may have to wait for September’s batch to get a date. This is my guess. I don’t know for sure. Please update. I’m hoping to be approved for an expedited request at NVC since I’m on short-term disability and need my husband’s help for care. I hope you get through soon. Best of luck.
  6. I just had my expedite approved at USCIS, so I know they are doing approvals. My lawyer did it for me so I can’t tell you how. But I’m a U.S. citizen and I wrote a letter stating that I’m on short-term disability because of pain during my pregnancy and risk for pre-term labor. I attached my short-term disability approval letter as well as paperwork the doctor filled out for the short-term disability. A month before my lawyer also put in an I-129F. She explained that in most situation when they see the I-129F, they’ll approve the I-130 because they don’t want to do double work and approving the I-130 cancels the I-129F. According to my lawyer there’s no USCIS fee to submit an I-129F She also had me upload documents to my USCIS account showing life updates, like pictures of me visiting my husband, our maternity photos, itenrary of all my visits to him, etc So maybe it a combination of all these is why my I-130 was approved within 10 days of submitting the expedite letter. If any of these are things are things you have not done, try those. Best of luck.
  7. Still working on getting DQ but our lawyer is working in expediting our process at NVC too. I can update you on our process as we go. I have read complaints from people DQ in March that interview letters have been slow to come out and it could be because the consulate is trying to clear the backlog on other type of applications, like employment or family preference with a visa number available
