  1. Hello All, My wife had her interview for CR1 visa at the Montreal consulate and it went very well she got verbal approval and the case status on CEAC changed the next day to Issued final processing. Our appointment was September 17th we have yet to receive any tracking number for the return of her passport and visa packet. Does anyone have a timeline of how soon they received their packet? Wife lives in the Vancouver area.
  2. We received an IL dated for September 17th for our expedited interview. The only reason this happened was I got the state senator to reach out to the consulate.
  3. @Ntj15 After getting the state senator involved we now have an IL date for September 17th!
  4. I get that. Except some of our situations are different and are related to emergency situations. I have multiple valid reasons for the expedite thats why its been approved at the USCIS level all the way to this one.
  5. I also had expedited approval through USCIS; however, the process was not easy. The reason we got approved, though, was based on multiple factors, not just one: financial hardship, upcoming military deployment, and pregnancy. My wife is not in her home country but resides in Canada and is not a Canadian citizen. To give you an idea, this is what I did. I submitted an expedited request in March and received no response for months. During this time, I had submitted 2 other requests, and still no response. I was informed about getting a congressman or state senator involved, and this was our golden ticket. Our case was approved within a week of submitting a request through my state senator. Once at the NVC stage, I submitted all the same info as before, and the consulate approved our expedited request. Now, we are in the interview scheduling phase. All of this happened within a 30-day timeline.
  6. I will be sure to update everyone here. I currently have my state senator involved, so hopefully, we hear something back soon. I really would think that they would get put in a different queue and not in with the rest, considering they are expedited. Wishing you the best of luck getting your expedites approved!
  7. Thanks! I actually sent them an email, and they are going to inquire about it from the embassy. The Senator was able to get expedited approval for the I-130, so I have my hopes up that they can produce results.
  8. We got DQ'd on August 8 with an approved expedite request from Montreal (our case is pretty severe). We have been waiting for an IL for almost 2 weeks now. I'm assuming the expedited appointments get put into a different queue. Does anyone have any idea what timeline we are looking at for expedited cases?`
  9. Sure, that would be great. I'll also try to keep this thread updated since I see a lot of posts, and people don't seem to actually respond with their updated timeline. I'm worried that my wife won't be able to fly after 30 weeks due to being pregnant. She's already 25 weeks. I guess there is nothing we can do but wait.
  10. Hello all, We are one of the lucky ones and got our CR1 visa expedited by the consulate in Montreal. However, we have been waiting to hear back from them about scheduling an appointment. Has anyone here gone through this process and know what a rough timeline would be for this? When I logged in to CEAC, it said the application was being reviewed at the consulate. My wife is 6 months pregnant, and I'm set to deploy in 30 days with no return back home for up to 9 months. We also claimed financial hardship. So I'm guessing the combination of these things got us the expedite. Our DQ date is 6 August. The last communication we received was on 8 August, saying they would reach out shortly to schedule an appointment. Is there anything I can do at this stage? I thought I would have heard from them by now. Thanks in advance for your guidance! Jason
