  1. So, i am pretty much at the 90 day mark now, and so far we've heard nothing about the Class B annotation. We've been working through this process with Boundless Immigration and part of their service includes consultations with an immigration attorney. During one of these calls i asked about the annotation and she took all the information i had to offer and put my mind at ease. The lawyer said she'd be shocked if we ever heard back anything from it, it's highly unlikely anything will come of it, and that it's really not worth worrying about. So, for any other folks who are going through this process and have found the same annotation on their K1 Visa, my journey looked like this: Medical exam went fine, had to have 3 vaccines done to clear that part of the process. I have a short history with anxiety/depression, and the medical examiner required a care summary and full report by my designated GP, which i had to go away and get. Following this the medical exam was filed, though i did not receive any confirmation from the office that it had been submitted to the embassy, i had to chase it up and contact the office to get that answer. No comment was made about the medical exam at all while at the embassy. Once i received my K1 Visa there was the class B annotation. Arriving at Chicago O'Hare the officer took the big file with all my paperwork, made no comment about the annotation, though did confer with his colleague about it. I overheard the colleague saying "no that doesn't mean anything, just put it in the system and it's done". The officer took all paperwork, stamped the Visa/passport, and i entered the country. We got married 10 days later, and have heard nothing at all about the medical annotation on the Visa. So, from my own experience i would say that if you too find this annotation on your Visa and you're worried about it, don't. It doesn't seem like a big deal in the process at all, nothing happened at the border, and nothing has happened since.
  2. I'm nearly 2 months since my arrival date and have yet to hear anything at all about this notation. I did overhear the border officer conferring with their colleague about the notation, and from what I could gather, it's not a big deal. The information was entered, but as long ad it's not a Class A, they didn't seem to take much notice. If I do end up hearing anything back about this notation, I'll make sure to reply to this thread, but as of right now it has been absolutely nothing to worry about!
  3. Late response, but I arrived in Chicago on the 29th with no incident. The processing took a while since there was a busy queue going on, and the border agent had to ask fellow agents questions a few times. He checked off all the information, asked me a couple of questions like where I'm living, whether I've ever had TB, and that I'm aware I have 90 days to get married. Took around 10-20 mins once we got to the agent, they took the file without any comment on the Class B annotation. Guess maybe I'll hear something from USPHS eventually, or maybe not? I'll try and keep this post updated if I do, but either way, it turned out to be a complete non-issue at the border, so no cause for concern
  4. Me too hahah Flying out of London Heathrow into Chicago O'Hare
  5. Thanks for the response! I was prescribed Sertraline for a time but haven't been on that for well over a year now. From what I can see in similar cases, it's most likely going to be due to the anxiety & depression diagnoses. I'm sure the officer at the POE will know more once he's opened the envelope!
  6. Hi all So i'm a week away from leaving for the US on my K1 Visa. It was issued on the 15th of July and expires on the 12th December, i have it stamped in my passport and got a big sealed envelope full of documents to carry with me. I'm looking up what i should expect at the Port Of Entry, which will be in Chicago, and i noticed i have this "CLASS B REQ. ATTN. OF USPHS AT POE" annotation at the bottom of the Visa itself. My medical exam went fine, and the expiration dates line up. i had to get 3 vaccines, a tetanus booster, Hep B, and COVID booster, but i got all of those. The only other thing i needed to get for the medical exam was more information on some light mental health issues in my past, one instance that led to 8 sessions of counselling, and another that resulted in a prescription for Sertraline for around 18 months. Everything went through fine and the Visa was approved, but i'm just wondering what this annotation means and what i should be expecting at the border when i arrive? thanks in advance!
  7. So i have a bit of a strange situation that i can't seem to find much information on, and wondered if folks might have some experience. I'm entering the US on a K1 Fiance Visa, my husband-to-be is a US born citizen and i'm moving from the UK. we've been through the whole process, i have my K1 visa stamped in my passport, and i have my packet for the border agents to asses upon entry. I've done a fair amount of research already, i know about the adjustment of status package and the employment authorisation document. My work situation is this: I am a self employed online content creator. my main source of income is from the website Patreon, and has been running for around 6 years now. i'm registered as self employed to the UK tax office, at a UK based address and i pay UK taxes. My question is, can i continue to operate my Patreon site throughout this process, or do i have to shut it down until i receive my EAD? Some places have told me that i must not work while in the US, others state that i can work for the 90 days that the K1 visa is valid for, and others even say that while i cannot work while adjusting my status, there is no punishment for doing so and it won't affect the AOS. The nature of my work is simple, i upload videos to YouTube and follower choose to support on Patreon for a few exclusive benefits like access to a discord server or exclusive content. i could actually build a stockpile of content prior to my move, and have everything uploaded and scheduled to run automatically for the next few months so that i'm not actually performing any work while in the US, but again, this is a grey area. Any and all help on this matter would be appreciated. while we can obviously survive during this process, and my fiance is able to financially support us both, this kind of online presence takes a lot of consistency, and dropping it for anywhere between 1-6 months is a huge hit.
