Thank you! - The issue here is that they've had my passport now since it was requsted in August. They then requested medical and photos in early Oct. If were looking at since the passport was delivered its been 2+ months and currently at 1 month after medical and photos were received. We were hoping to be reunited for thanksgiving, but doesnt look like thats going to happen.🤕 After submitting all documents we had the following updates: 1. Oct 30 (unsolicited) 2. Nov 6 (unsolicited) 3. Nov 14 (solicited, reply to an email sent Oct 30 confirming if all documents were received)

You would think that visa officers want to clear these backlogs and get these passports off their desks, but it appears that they need a nudge at every stage. - Thank you for the insight. Will see what comes out of inquiring yet again. Keep us updated on when you receive your passport given the Canada Post strike.

I know of another person that has had their visa issued two weeks ago. (Nov 4 week) and since then its been radio silence. I really hate that there is no consistency to any of this. @221gM @candy895 @DuBrun20 @g_canadian @apsincejune23 @EveK I think we all had our documents sent in around the same time. Has anyone gotten their visa issued or any new case status updates?

There are specific scenarios where the consulate will reach out to the applicant and request if the applicant can pick up their passport by a certain date. This is mainly due to time restrictions on the medical/passport/police clearance. Ive seen on this forum happen more so when a medical is set to expire and the consulate is ready to issue the visa. - Go to sundims profile/review the forum for specifics. Applicants cannot request this and any attempt will be ignored by the consulate. Myself and others tried to set this up and were ignored.

It will take a least 1 week for the blood results to come back and then a few days for them to review and put everything together to send. Give it 7 BD. Its good to note that your case status will update once they submit it and they will email you confirmation of it being uploaded. Based on this. you'll likely have your medical uploaded sometime next week by the panel physican. Also ... welcome to waiting game... 😒

Looks like you cleared your AP fairly quickly. Your Interview was Sep 16 and 1.5 months later they requested your passport. I think thats probably the fastest I have seen. Some of us have been waiting 8+ months while others waiting for over a year after their interview. It’s frustrating when there’s no progress, especially when you know everything’s already been delivered and now entering the 1 month mark since all documents were submitted. At this rate— you could be approved in a week, five weeks or even longer. Fingers crossed it doesn’t drag on!

It’s honestly so frustrating how disorganized this consulate is. You’d think something as important as immigration would have a smoother process, but instead, they’re asking for the same information they’ve already requested. How does that even happen? In our case they requested documents two months apart. 🙄 It makes you wonder if the emails and case files are even being reviewed properly or if there’s just no internal communication on their end. It’s exhausting to sit around waiting for a decision while dealing with mistakes that could’ve easily been avoided. I hope they clear you soon!

To add to this. Our last update was Nov 6, and another one today Nov 14. Today's case update was a solicited one for an email we sent out 2 weeks ago on Oct 30 asking for an update on whether documents were received (medical/passport photos). Of course, they reply with their template response. 😠 - "We acknowledge receipt of documents, Case is pending consular review." ... SMH how much review does it need to stamp an IV on the passport. 😒🤬

Please review instructions on the first page/sheet on how to update the filtering. Superliminal likely updated it to that view before going AFK. Hope this helps! Well keep in mind that in your case, you would have had to wait for a new medical and passport photos and then send them to the consulate, and that in itself is a whole process by which the consulate then need to then get it from their courier facility and then review which would align with the inconsistent timelines we're seeing now. Some got their IV within 1 week, others in 2-3 weeks, some are 5+ weeks. I think those who have submitted their documents sept/oct should be hearing back fairly shortly. I do recall that one of the people (CarmenD) on here waited around 6-7 weeks after submitting everything. Stay positive yall, its coming!!

Superliminal has stated that he is no longer monitoring it. Looks like its locked. Not sure if he will be periodically updating it, especially with the amount of movement happening since Aug till now. @spousalsponsor-Some cases might have the screen below showing the tracking numbers if you used the courier-in-authorization. Additionally, if you sent it from the postal office they likely gave you a receipt that had the tracking number on it. However, other applicants might not have shipping numbers and instead have a link to see the CEAC website (DS-260).

Take their response with a grain of salt. - The consulate is proving to be very very inconsistent with its email responses and visa issuance. I think this is a cookie-cutter reply to your congressmens inquiry. Try getting your senator involved as well. For our case, we received two conflicting responses in one day (literally within 10 mins of each other). The first response was to our own inquiry and the consulate responded that they received my document (passport) and pending consular officer review and that they would contact us if anything else is required. The second response was that our case was reviewed and AP was cleared and they are now requesting another medical and passport photos, this response was after we had the senator inquire for us, mind you this is after they initially requested our passport back in August when AP first cleared. As of this moment, the consulate has all our documents as of Oct 23 and we are waiting for visa issuance. Our last case status update was last Friday Oct 29. Hoping this week we see the case status update to ISSUED, but I am not holding my breath. - I hope this helps!

The consulate has been inconsistent with their IV issuance. I recall 4-5 people in the thread had all their documents in with the consulate around the same time and the time to get issued varied. Some waited 1 week (fastest) others waited 2 weeks (average) some even waited 5 weeks (longest). I am praying that next week brings a batch of happy news for most of us! - Trying to stay positive.

Still refused on our end as well. Last update was 25 Oct. We like many were hoping that we would get the exciting status update, however, consulate remains inconsistent with its processes and visa issuance. 😪 Passport delivered back in august. Passport photos delivered oct 18. Medical delivered last week oct 23. Not holding my breath, but heres to hoping that a batch get issued tomorrow or early next week.

Adding our last few case status updates for others who may be in the same position. Aug 8, 2024 - Passport requested. ........... Oct 8. Medical exam and passport photos requested separately from passport. Oct 10. Medical was completed. Oct 17. Passport photos delivered (did not get a case status update for this between when it was delivered and next update) Oct 22. Email received from Drs Office that the medical exam was submitted and confirmation will be sent out next day. Oct 23. Case Status Updated (confirming consulate received the medical) Oct 25. Another case status update (2 updates in one week 🙏)

I think everyone's AIS website might look different. Please note that what you saw in my screenshot is documents I sent TO the consulate after they requested them. When I requested a courier-in authorization certificate my 3 pages included a QR code that the post office scanned to allow them to print the return slip. Yours might be different because your instructions might have been different. Again, it's important you follow the instructions provided to YOU by the consulate. I am still waiting for CEAC to update my case status to ISSUED. After that happens I will expect a tracking number sent to me via the AIS site or by email. For detailed information on document delivery, I suggest to review the FAQ on the AIS site: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/niv/information/faqs

No updates other than a case status update earlier this week indicating medical was submitted. However, based on @tdot2nj timeline, their status updated from refused to issued 1 week after their medical was submitted by panel physican and then a 1-2 day lag for passport delivery. If the consulate is consistent (which we know they're not), we should expect to hear back next week. Otherwise, could be some more time for visa issuance. Praying to share some good news soon.

Thats interesting. On my end, under status it shows "Courier-in Authorization" and the tracking numbers which are clickable and direct me to Canada Post. I think the most important thing is that you have a tracking number and got confirmation/signature of delivery. Again, as others posted above, there may be a delay/lag time between when the documents arrive to the facility and when its finally on the desk of a consular officer.

Should be the first thing you see when you sign in. Your screen should be green and at the bottom it will state: Applicant Name Passport Case number Status and under status you will see the tracking number. This is if you used their courier services and sent it via the courier-in-authorization certificate.
