you can send messages to NVC through their portal, just tell them, they will fix it, had them change address info, etc several times while waiting for DQ

sounds to me like an arrest for a fine-able offence rather than a criminal charge...something that can happen sometimes in USA in some jurisdictions on traffic offences...ie, you get released after paying a fine...no court, if ever a document is "unavailable" all you have to do is submit an written explanation as to why its unavailable, but maybe they will still just request a common "police certificate" from that country which should show nothing

I advise against using proof you need to support the other spouse in their own country as evidence of relationship during the application process, a few pictures and travel docs or smth is enough for the NVC, they just care about categories of filing being legit, finances and such. Until you are Documentarily Approved and scheduled for interview you want to submit info which shows financial stability, now that being said, it wouldn't hurt to bring this wire transfer receipt to the interview after your finances already got approved and you've moved on to the stage of showing bona-fide relationship at the visa interview

as long as you are in contact with them at least once per year your case should remain open, you can cancel the interview and reschedule later, just don't wait a full year to contact again and let them know you still intend to reschedule and maybe a brief explanation of the delay

I simply submitted a few photos together and a couple of flight receipts, no passport stamp/visa stuff, I thought it would be too messy, it seemed fine for them, they scheduled my interview. I just plan to bring old and new passport to interview as backup

I was DQ'd on5/3/2024 and got appointment letter today 8/6/2024 the average times right now AFTER DQ are about 3-8 months depending on the consulate location,......location specific information is not available
