  1. Show "ready" where? From what I can tell there's no way to get into CEAC before it's gotten to the embassy. Any attempt to log in to CEAC with my NVC case number just leads to it asking for an invoice ID which we don't have since we don't submit any fees until it's at the embassy. Am I missing something? NVC tells me "All case parties will be notified when this petition is forwarded to the assigned U.S. Embassy/Consulate General." but online I see all sorts of posts about K-1 visa applicants monitoring "in transit" "ready" etc status through CEAC. Maybe something changed in 2024?
  2. Whenever I've flown from Havana through Miami to transfer another US flight (us citizen), I see everyone goes toward the same customs area, then US citizens follow one sign and non follow another. Since I'm transferring flights after customs, I go to baggage claim, get bag, re-check bag, and go back through security. At some point after customs I usually see Cuban families waiting outside the exit door and greeting their loved ones who just arrived. So I think everyone's shepherded through the same areas for international arrivals, albeit to different counters. I've done this 3 times now and generally it takes AWHILE even though I have Global Entry so my customs is super quick. I usually leave 3+ hours between flights and don't have a ton of time to spare. There's always potential it can go faster but Miami airport can be really crowded and dysfunctional so better to be safe.
  3. They have the employer name field set up to only allow letters when you open in Adobe reader. But my company has a number in its name. Assuming I should just hand write the employer name in when I print it out? It's supposed to be the company name, right, not the HR person's actual name or something? Find it really odd they would restrict numbers in that case.
