I currently have my Employment Authorization Card and needs to be renewed by the end of October (as I got my EAD and SSN with the asylum application)… should I renew this right now because it will carry over the next steps or doing the process changes that card and I’ll get a new one? I’m in a limbo (basically we’re doing this now because our “lawyer” stole the money and never started anything so we want to do it ourselves now)… thank you again 🩵

Hi! This might be odd as lots of people get married and of course file the papers right away! But… that wasn’t my case for multiple reasons that aren’t important right now. Long story short: I entered the US as tourist and applied for Asylum in 2017. As of today, that petition is still pending. I married a wonderful man and have been together for the last 4.5 years but we never changed my status. Now that we are about to do it, I’m wondering if there will be a problem for filling to late? Also, will I get the permanent residency right away or the clock for the two years to remove the conditions start from the moment we start the process and not from the moment we got married? If anyone can help me with this questions I would REALLY REALLY appreciate it! Thank you in advanceee! Val
