Husband should get the criminal report from Yemen to be prepared /he will need this plus the one from Mayalasia (if he is legal resident)

He already has one but it is going to expire in Feburary 2025. Should he start working on getting another one? Can it be a PDF version or does it need to be a hard copy from Yemen?

    ASA,

if I were you I’d reach out to my local congress office, bring up your situation. Department of Homeland Security extended Temporary Status for Yemeni immigrants who are here on visiting, work, and educational visas due to the fact they cannot travel home safely.  Explain that your husband has been there for 2 years and you are both concerned for his wellbeing trying to  safely return to Yemen which DHS has agreed to allow non immigrants in America to stay here until it is safe for travel. Also state how it is becoming a financial burden on the both of you supporting him while pregnant with a child on the way God willing while he is living in another county because the US embassy in Yemen has been closed and you both were directed to go to the embassy in Malaysia. State you can not travel due to your medical condition to be united with your spouse. Use that in your letter to your congress office that. Maybe they will help and get in touch directly on behalf of you.
just and idea wouldn’t hurt to try.

What if my case is still within the processing time? Will they still help me?

  3. My husband is a Yemeni citizen living in Malaysia for over two years. We submitted the I-130 application on 9/2023 and we are still waiting for a response. I have called them multiple times throughout the months and they tell me the same thing, " Your case is still within the processing times" which is 14 months. We do not fit under any of the expedite criteria's that they always mention. I let them know that I am pregnant and if I could expedite our case because of that. The information specialists on the USCIS are no help and I want to make sure that I use all of my options that are given to me.
