  1. Hey guys, Never been arrested and the orders are not for DV. It’s just a custody case for my daughter. I guess my daughters mom tried to pull every move she had to try and win the case. Long story short, I found my partner whom I’m trying to get the visa for now. Once I decided to put everything behind me, I decided to give up physical custody hence why the orders of protection ended. I believe these were all put in place by her since we were in court for about 3 years. Everytime we went to court the order of protection would be extended and I assume this is why it shows as 13 different ones. That’s the reason I checked “no criminal record” since it was a civil case in family court and not a criminal case. Hope this makes it easier to understand.
  2. @IXL Totally forgot to include page 2 and did not analyze the RFE thoroughly. I realized it was behind page 1. Now I see what they're asking for. Attaching for reference. I was going through a custody case with my daughter's mom in the past and seems like there were some orders of protection. They have all been expired. Would it hurt to send a correct form anyway aside from the requested evidence?
  3. @Edward and Jaycel Would you mind taking a look at my application to see if anything looks off?
  4. @Edward and Jaycel thank you for all your suggestions! Can I email you a copy of my initial form to see if I missed anything or filled out anything incorrectly? I have a feeling I did now and some seem obvious and others seem like I left blank but am not too sure to be honest. Also, although I know it's not legal advice and just a suggestion, can you confirm that the RFE is only requiring I send out the 129f form again? Does it make sense to include more evidence? At the top of the cover page I see that there's a box for "other" so also unsure as to whether or not I should write out what I am sending or include an additional cover sheet detailing what is included in the packet I am sending.
  5. @Edward and Jaycel Hi, I did save a copy of the entire package I sent out. I do also have a full scan of the second page. I'll attach it on here. @MalloryCat I am very tempted to fill it out myself and send myself. I feel like I caught some errors on the form and maybe need to correct them. I am gaining the confidence now that I've been getting answers from you guys! Thanks for all the help!!!
  6. @MalloryCat Do you suggest I attempt to fill out the form to the best of my knowledge again or should I seek help from an attorney to fill out and respond to the RFE altogether?
  7. @mitzab I'm not too sure whether they are asking for another copy of the form or if they never received it but I sent the whole thing in one packet with a tracking number. I highly doubt they receive the evidence, intent to marry, etc. and not the 129 form.
  8. Ahh gotcha, yes I should've been a little more specific. I did receive a two page RFE. One similar to that. I am attaching with personal info blacked out as well. But yes I received that also.
  9. That's the only thing I've received. In fact, I reached out to USCIS a few days before receiving the RFE requesting a copy of the "last notice" sent since I assumed maybe they responded to my case and got lost in transit. I know the dates on here are only estimated but I was expecting a reply by mid January which is why I reached out. They confirmed the same thing, that the RFE is the only other document that was sent to me besides the NOA1. I was honestly expecting to receive a request for more evidence of meeting but was thrown off when I saw that they were requesting the actual petition form. I'm new to the whole process so I'm not sure if they are in fact requesting the form or maybe was filled out incorrectly by me and just need an updated one. I think eventually I might need to seek an attorney because I know I only get one shot at submitting the evidence but I appreciate all insight! Hoping I can avoid attorneys since I currently reside in NY and lawyers can get very expensive!
  10. Hi Guys, I've tried searching for this specific request on the the RFE but could not find anything on it. I've submitted the initial package myself with guidance from other threads here on VJ. The RFE is requesting I submit "Form I-129F, Petition for Alien Fiance(e)" and would like to know if anyone else has seen this request before? I know we only get one shot and before I seek an opinion from an attorney, I'd like to see if our community has any insight on this. If it's simple enough, I'd like to avoid hiring an attorney since it seems like I only need to submit one piece of evidence. My assumption is that I might've filled out the initial form incorrectly hence why they are asking for it again. I should probably add that prior to receiving the RFE on Feb 6th, I received a case status update on Jan 2nd, stating that "Name was updated". I am glad to elaborate more on the situation or share my initial I-129F form if it helps determine what to submit. Thank you all in advance for your insight!
