I will share a detailed list in a few days, when i get my packet. I am under ir1 visa. Interview june20 2024, ds 5535 same day. I did use congresman, i went through the lawyer route from the very start due to arrest record, and did not use WOM. Likely was put in ds5535 due to multiple reason, so hard to say why. Drug addict brother with similar name, he stole my sin so i had two names on my cra, my arrest and a few other things probably, nothing serious or deflecting on me, just all kinds of things to be generally cautious on.

you need to check with your state about the forign registration proscess. there are two forms you need to complete the import. you also need a letter from the manufacture which sometimes can take months. it is posible to import with a active loan but it is a nightmare. I have completed all the forms to import my vehicle and my motorcycle. if you have any questions I am open to help. if its not worth much dont waste your time. it is extremely stressful.

I think it takes additional time for the embassy to actually receive your documents as our mail goes to an offsite mailing address. I sent mine on Nov 8th and didn’t receive a case update until Nov the 21st. I haven’t heard of them forgiving medicals, you’ll most likely receive an email requesting a second medical. Hope this helped!

I did the same for a Senator in my area. He did an inquiry & said to wait until October 8th, & if nothing is heard, contact him back. If enough of us reach out to congressmen & senators hopefully they see this is a problem!

first unsolicited update today. appointment was June 20, 2024, refused that day. file was update in July and now I have a September 5th update. no email, nothing. I really hope this is good news. my partner and I are struggling here in Canada and would have far better support down south. this delay is in a way hurting us by keeping us here.

I completly understand. Im my wife and i have forign degrees. Neither are recognized in canada. She could go back to the states and start work asap. Till then her and i have to work multiple ####### jobs to survive. Barely scraping by, never seeing eachother. Now im not working for medical reasons. We feel we are being punnished and barley can survive here, with roomates, meanwile we could have our own place and,own it, thrive with far better support there

He’s one of the only handful of doctors in Canada who does these medical exams, i’m sure he sees hundreds of people every week and has narrowed down his process to be as fast as possible. He was really nice to me and cheerful and I didn’t really feel like he was missing anything. I was even seen like a whole hour before my scheduled time because I arrived there early so they just put me through. Sorry that your experience was like that!

I sent an email last week regarding this and this is what i got back.
"Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. Your case was refused under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, and is currently under administrative processing. As soon as the administrative processing is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case.
We realize that these extended time periods cause frustration to many individuals, and we are sensitive to the fact that the purpose of the immigrant visa program is to facilitate legitimate travel to the U.S. Nonetheless, the Consulate in Montreal, like all U.S. Embassies and Consulates, must adjudicate visas in accordance with the provisions of the law, and, in some cases, this involves extensive consular review and administrative processing.
The duration of administrative processing will vary based on the individual circumstances of each case. The Department of State is continuously working to refine our visa application, assessment, and security screening procedures. We continue to aim to reduce the time required for certain types of administrative processing. While we cannot predict when the processing of your visa will be completed, please be assured that the Consulate and the State Department are aware of your concerns and will contact you as soon as the processing is complete.
As soon as the administrative processing is complete, the Visa Unit will advise of the next steps if anything else is needed to complete processing the case. We hope that this information is helpful in replying to your inquiry.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
Regards, OP13"

I think when you login to your ceac account and go to the DS-260 tab. Somewhere I saw yesterday explaining about the estimated burden time. You’ll find information regarding this “estimated burden” thing in detail. Also, I came to know from other folks here in this platform regarding “expiring soon” thing… It is actually the “ceac visa status” where it says your immigrant application “refused or issue”. Once you hit the 1 year mark from your interview date it starts showing expiring soon as consulate has set up a timeline of 1 year from the date of your interview or the documents submission whichever is closer…its my understanding, anyone else with more solid information can shed some light on it. Thanks

Hi Everyone - after my updated medical results and passport were delivered to the embassy on July 31st, I have gotten my passport back with the visa in it! My interview was back in April 2023.
