  1. I have been using the status tracker, checking daily and just keeping track. my question is, does anyone know of a way to see all the updates in your case listed my date ? the tracker only shows the most recent update, not all.
  2. thanks, I hope so, this delay has caused numerous issues with our lives. economy is not doing well here in calgary. no idea to your question. Ive noticed it will say, updated on ex day but the status tracker wont reflect that till a few days later. my last one says sep 27th but it did not say that when I checked on the 29th.
  3. how many unsolicited updates have people received on average? I have had 3 in one month now. also is there way to check your complete update history or do you have to just track that yourself? meeting June 20, black holed same day, case update on sep 7, 19 and 27th no news from them or lawyer handling case. considering congressional help as this my lawyer has good luck with that. I hit 4 months exactly on my medical tmrw. literally just posted about the same thing hahah
  4. also curious for all those who filed a WOM, how much on average did you spend and who did you go with? please specify CAD or USD lol.
  5. on the expiry date for the ds 260, I noticed it is based off the date signed, however I am a bit confused on if that is the date I signed it or the date the NVC had it submitted or the odd expiry date on their website. all 3 provide me different times.
  6. I completly understand. Im my wife and i have forign degrees. Neither are recognized in canada. She could go back to the states and start work asap. Till then her and i have to work multiple ####### jobs to survive. Barely scraping by, never seeing eachother. Now im not working for medical reasons. We feel we are being punnished and barley can survive here, with roomates, meanwile we could have our own place and,own it, thrive with far better support there
  7. first unsolicited update today. appointment was June 20, 2024, refused that day. file was update in July and now I have a September 5th update. no email, nothing. I really hope this is good news. my partner and I are struggling here in Canada and would have far better support down south. this delay is in a way hurting us by keeping us here.
  8. Same. Did anyone find the dr cheema is a rather ..umm.. "uniuqe" charector. He barely asked me any question. If i dident study ahead of time and mention things, im sure stuff would have been missed.
  9. Maby.. just maby.. the montreal consulate does this.. hear me out... to push people to pay for a second medical. getting a cut behind the sceans. Heresy. Jk.
  10. could someone explain the estimated burden? also I thought the ds260 was good for one year, I made a post about this. If this expires is correct, then the case would be valid for longer than one year in my case.
  11. seen that when some people get the call to send in passport, there is a request to update the ds260. so here is my question. medical is good for 6 months criminal is good for 1 year how long is ds260 good for and from what date?
  12. I see so when you state a counselor officers answer is more discretionary, do you mean it is more subjective to their opinion? so if they feel off they can deny and make up some excuse? leading to a hard time to appeal? my attorney advised me to answer in a specific way when it came to a specific question, which i did; however, I don't believe it satisfied her as my answer did not actually give any information about the situation at all. everything she needed to know was in the legal documents. what you say makes sense with the AOS I was actually advised that by another attorney when i was shopping at the beginning of this whole process. sort of wish i did. would probably have my GC by now.
  13. typical does anyone have any idea of the risk of filing the WOM? to my understanding the consulate vs state side embassies have less authority to deny someone and need a good reason. has anyone heard or know about switching your case over to a state side embassy? I have thought about leaving on a student/ work, visitor visa till this is resolved. I have far larger support network and greater stability there. it is not practical to stay in Canada, especially over winter.
