  1. you need to check with your state about the forign registration proscess. there are two forms you need to complete the import. you also need a letter from the manufacture which sometimes can take months. it is posible to import with a active loan but it is a nightmare. I have completed all the forms to import my vehicle and my motorcycle. if you have any questions I am open to help. if its not worth much dont waste your time. it is extremely stressful.
  2. hay so im sure this has been asked in a previous thread but I want to confirm where people are mailing there photos to. thats where I sent my passport, do I need to include anything else? like a letter or somthing with my case number? I dont find the instructions on the sites clear and easy to find. U.S. Consulate General 1134 rue Sainte-Catherine O, Suite 100, Montréal, Quebec, H3B 1H4
  3. just got the email to send my medical and photos in. really happy about this, want to get it completed asap. her is my timeline curious what people have done for the photos? did they bring them to the medical first before sending them? did the doctor send them digitally with the medical? were they physically mailed? if so, has anyone mailed using the can post recently? IR1 vissa June 20, interview and thrown into a hole same day. June 21, submitted d3 5535 sep7 sep19 sep27 oct 24 nov 18 nov 26 dec 2 ( passport requested) dec 5 ( passport received according to Purolator) dec 18 dec 23 ( medical and pics requested)
  4. medical is definitely good for only 6 months, clearance is 1 year for sure. I have done 4 of them, first was the wrong type..
  5. yah i had to go to a full office and pay for it. same cost as premium. I have it set to return using them. tehy made me type in a business name, wasn't exactly sure what to put and they kind of just insisted on taking charge, I made sure the address was correct though. they said no signature at this time. I should have clarified. I meant no signature upon receival, not tracking.
  6. so on Dec 2 i got the email to send passport in. used Purolator, was received on dec 5, no tracking, wasn't an option for some reason. I have not seen a case update or gotten a response on if they have even received it. how long before they typically will update on such a thing? IR1 also has anyone heard about them forgiving 2nd medicals, I just passed my 6 month mark.
  7. just got the email requesting my passport!! 6 months after the meeting, medical expires today, the day i get the email lol. we will see how that plays out, heard rumors of 2nd medical exemptions, not sure how they would date the visa exp then. 7 unsolicited updates. any recommendations on postal? I have noticed like 10 pages of people talking about that, june 20th meeting ds5535 june 21 submitted sep7 sep19 sep27 oct 24 nov 18 nov 26 dec 2 request passport IR1
  8. did they realy allow you to pick up in person? i have seen a few reports saying they are ignoring that request, you say anything in particular? also what visa are you on? im ir1
  9. I have been using the status tracker, checking daily and just keeping track. my question is, does anyone know of a way to see all the updates in your case listed my date ? the tracker only shows the most recent update, not all.
  10. thanks, I hope so, this delay has caused numerous issues with our lives. economy is not doing well here in calgary. no idea to your question. Ive noticed it will say, updated on ex day but the status tracker wont reflect that till a few days later. my last one says sep 27th but it did not say that when I checked on the 29th.
  11. how many unsolicited updates have people received on average? I have had 3 in one month now. also is there way to check your complete update history or do you have to just track that yourself? meeting June 20, black holed same day, case update on sep 7, 19 and 27th no news from them or lawyer handling case. considering congressional help as this my lawyer has good luck with that. I hit 4 months exactly on my medical tmrw. literally just posted about the same thing hahah
  12. also curious for all those who filed a WOM, how much on average did you spend and who did you go with? please specify CAD or USD lol.
  13. on the expiry date for the ds 260, I noticed it is based off the date signed, however I am a bit confused on if that is the date I signed it or the date the NVC had it submitted or the odd expiry date on their website. all 3 provide me different times.
  14. I completly understand. Im my wife and i have forign degrees. Neither are recognized in canada. She could go back to the states and start work asap. Till then her and i have to work multiple ####### jobs to survive. Barely scraping by, never seeing eachother. Now im not working for medical reasons. We feel we are being punnished and barley can survive here, with roomates, meanwile we could have our own place and,own it, thrive with far better support there
