  4. Congratulations! Your wait time was a bit longer than other couples I've tracked.
  5. Hello friends. Here is my updated data. I have two new couples I'm tracking. I'd love to find some couple's with DQ'd (Documentarily Qualified by NVC) dates in August and September. If you are out there, please introduce yourself on this thread.

Thanks for informing me! But you just said something that made me curious, you mentioned an "still in line for an interview" email. I've never received one of those - like a checkin email.

Can you tell me, what is the email address you receive those from? Maybe I'm loosing some email in my junk folder.

      Josh

Of course!  Happy to provide any info that helps :)

This email comes every 60 days from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov with the subject "Case Status Update from NVC".  We received the first "check-in" right around 60 days post DQ.  The body reads:

      Dear XXX,

This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 24-MAY-2024.
          - This means that NVC received all of the fees, forms and documents required before an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is waiting for an interview appointment. Thank you for your patience.

Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled. Then, we will send it to the proper U.S. embassy or Consulate General.
          - We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if you have one) when the appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. embassy or consulate tells NVC the dates they hold interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis. We cannot predict when your interview will be scheduled.
          - For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. embassy or consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

Please Note: You should review the validity of all required police certificates you submitted to NVC.

Applicants must get a new police certificate if:
          - They turned 16 years old since their case became documentarily complete. or
          - They previously submitted a police certificate, but it has expired or will expire before their interview appointment.
          - Police certificates are valid for two years from the date of issuance.

Please do not submit your new or updated police certificates to NVC.
You must bring original police certificates to your interview appointment.

The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice stating that your case is still in line for an interview.

If you are no longer interested in pursuing your immigrant visa application, please tell NVC your plans by completing the Public Inquiry Form at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry. In the Type your Question Below text box, please indicate ONE of the following:
      1. No. I do not want to pursue my immigrant visa application because I have adjusted status. (Please attach a copy of both sides of your alien registration card.)

      2. No. I do not want to pursue my immigrant visa application because I have received an immigrant visa through another petition and I am now a permanent resident. (Please attach a copy of both sides of your alien registration card.)

      3. No. I do not want to pursue my immigrant visa application because I am no longer interested in immigrating to the United States.
          - (Please attach a statement in writing telling NVC to withdraw your petition.
          - An authorized representative (the petitioner or attorney of record) must sign it.
          - If an attorney or accredited representative submits the request, but a signed Form G-28, Notice of Entry of Appearance as Attorney or Representative was not filed; they must submit one with the written statement.)

      4. No, I do not wish to pursue my immigrant visa for a different reason. (Please provide an explanation.)
Important: Do not make any permanent financial commitments until you receive your immigrant visa. This includes activities such as
          - Selling a house, car or property,
          - Resigning from a job, or;
          - Making other travel arrangements.

Thank you for your continued patience.

      Regards,

      National Visa Center

      CASE: XXXX

I've been checking the IV scheduling tool daily to check the cases they're currently working on.  It still shows May 2024, but I've seen Facebook posts of people DQ'd in June '24 who've already been scheduled 😕 I am watching closely and plan to phone them if the system moves on to June before we've received an appointment.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything else.

      Warmly,

      Johanna

Thanks a lot for this information, Johanna. That really helps me. I will check to see if we have received anything like that. We received our first email from NVC in February 2025, but I don't think we've received anything since.

Can you tell me, what is the "IV Scheduling Tool"?

      Josh

  8. @AlexaT44 Thank you for sharing your information with this thread. I've added you to my tracking spreadsheet. Based on other examples, I would expect you to hear something soon. I'm hoping the best for you and your spouse.
  9. @emeditz My spouse and I are in a similar situation. The wait for appointments in Ciudad Juarez Mexico is over a year. We hope to have news next year. I can imagine you guys feel similarly to us. It's really crushing to finish the I-130 wait only to find you have another very long wait ahead.
  10. @Stiven26, I'm sorry to hear you needed to provide more documentation after your consular appointment. I wish this process was more transparent, clear, and fast. I wish you and your family the best as you wait for your mother's visa.
  11. Hello Friends. We've stopped talking here since most of us have probably received our Visa Response from USCIS by now. I'm curious, how is everyone coming a lot with consular processing. I had the rude surprise of finding out my consulate in Mexico has about a 1 year wait for appointments; so, my spouse and I are still waiting.
  12. Hello: Here is an update for late June. I've picked up a few new cases that I'm actively monitoring and now have contacts with DQ'd dates in May, June, and July. I'm looking for some cases with DQ'd dates in August and September to track. I recently found a couple that waited 448 days from DQ'd date to appointment. That's the longest wait I've seen so far.
  13. @johanna_q, of course. I'd love to include you! How exciting that you are so close to receive news. I will really appreciate the opportunity to include your details in my dataset. I really want to keep an eye on how interview assignments are proceeding this year.
  14. Good morning. Here is my update on Ciudad Juarez Interview Wait Times for CR-1/IR-1. Data @ https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1omDM3XmhO72N-KcYG-lpadogppY3iIjXXUuB7iLoYD4/edit?gid=1613267262#gid=1613267262

  16. @Cesarr, Yes, I will add your date and stay in touch.
  17. Sure @R_Garnett. I will be trying to stay in touch with each user I am tracking so update when we each get our interview date.
  18. @Chaval Thank you very much for keeping us informed! Your data is part of the dataset I am using to report on average wait times in Ciudad Juarez in this discussion.
  19. Hello Visa Journey friends. Here is my latest data update. I've been searching for people on various platforms with recent experience with interviews in Ciudad Juarez. Today I have found 6 examples of people who recently completed the journey. Here are the current numbers I have. All data @ data sheet.
  20. @greyson.rizo Thanks for sharing your example.
  21. @appleblossom Just this morning I came across two media articles to confirm the planned reductions in staff at the consulates. While Federal Firings Focus on Immigration Processing, Funding for Immigration Enforcement Expands, 6 March 2025, Immigration Impact, https://immigrationimpact.com/2025/03/06/federal-firings-immigration-processing-enforcement-expands/?utm_campaign=everyaction&utm_medium=email&utm_source=&emci=9f705f61-97fb-ef11-90cd-0022482a9fb7&emdi=c3639da6-eefc-ef11-90cd-0022482a9fb7&ceid=11628368 US embassies told to prepare for staff cuts as Trump overhauls diplomatic corps, sources say, 13 February 2025, Reuters, https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-embassies-told-prepare-staff-cuts-trump-overhauls-diplomatic-corps-sources-2025-02-13/
  22. @appleblossom I reviewed the timelines for all users with NOA2's since January 2024. I have contacted all those members asked for them to share their info. As you said, things are changing; so, my goal is to stay in touch with members who are recently scheduled or waiting. Have you seen any specific media or info about reductions of staff in the consulates?
  23. I just received new data from a user with recent experience. data sheet
  24. I want to unite Visa Journey members with approved I-130 IR-1/CR-1 petitions and are waiting for an interview in Ciudad Juarez. This thread is for you if: You have an approved I-130 IR-1/CR-1 Visa Petition You have completed your DS-260 and Affidavit of Support with NVC and are Documentarily Qualified (DQ'd) You are waiting for an interview in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico If this is you, please share the following information with the thread. Date you received notice from NVC that you are Documentarity Qualified (DQ'd) Date you received an interview assignment from NVC (if you have received one) Date of your interview (if you have received an interview assignment) Currently I have 4 members with up-to-date data points. I'd like to increase to 10 members. My goal is to provide a good up-to-date estimate for Ciudad Juarez Wait Times in the CR-1/IR-1 category.
  25. @appleblossom Thanks you for your reply and willingness to help me clarify my post. I realized after I posed it that I got some terminology wrong. I don't see an option to edit my post; so, maybe I will delete it and repost it. I am looking for people with approved I-130 applications for Immediate Relatives of US Citizens - spouses and unmarried children under 21. I confused the family based preference category AND used the term FB-1 instead of F1. Do you think my headline should say "IR-1/CR-1 - Ciudad Juarez Interview Wait Times 2025" or "Immediate Relative - Ciudad Juarez Wait Times 2025". I think whether you are petitioning for a spouse or an unmarried child under 21 you are in the same waiting line. You are in a category that is not impacted by visa limits. I wanted to get info from people who are waiting for their interview in the consulate to understand the current wait times.
