I am from Slovakia going to marry a US citizen. I lived in Chile in the past and I signed a civil union agreement with my ex partner, but did not terminate it before leaving him and the country. Will this affect my CR1 application process, jeopardising validation of my marriage, or is this OK that it has not been terminated? Chile does not recognise this as a marriage. Your answer will be much appreciated
