  1. Yes you ask them for your case number in the first paragraph of your inquiry and then follow it up with the email update request in the second paragraph. There is a spot to attach files in the inquiry, I would upload a scan of your NOA2 when you do this as well. This would not have made a difference since they told you they had received the petition but had not yet entered it into their system yet. Following up in a week should be ok since they said they have received it already.
  2. When you do this, in the same inquiry also ask them to update the petitioner's and beneficiary's email addresses. This will ensure you receive all communications from NVC and the embassy. Sometimes when entering the email addresses from the I-129F at NVC to create your case, mistakes happen. We worded our update request like this: "Please also update the email addresses you have on file in regards to this petition as follows: Petitioner email address: XXXXXXX@gmail.com Beneficiary email address: XXXXXX@gmail.com"
  3. Happy to share For work, I'm the manager of a technical engineering team and I shared this journey of the timeline tab with my team while we were waiting for Jaycel's EAD. They were speechless. Until one of them said, "If we put out a feature like that to our customers, you would have fired us."
  4. Jaycel's EAD estimated time before biometrics - 3 Months Right after biometrics - 40 months A week later - 6 months A week after that - 7 months A day later - EAD approved (Still showed 7 months until case decision) The "Timeline" feature on the portal is completely useless
  5. If you are entering on the K-1 visa you just got, the biometrics you did during the consulate interview process (and will likely be required to do upon inspection at the PoE) will satisfy the registration requirements.
  6. Today's stats: April 14, 2025 21:35 MDT November 2024 Filed I-485 Stats • Approved: 1,101 (+62) • Denied: 170 • FingerprintScheduled: 178 • InterviewCancelled: 116 • InterviewScheduled: 5,685 (+206) • Processing: 33,561 • Received: 681 • Rejected: 106 • RFE: 473 • Terminated: 118 • Withdrawal: 7 • Others: 69
  7. Avoid ANY misrepresentation (this includes being vague/evasive about the purpose of the visit) when it comes to applying for a visa. 100% honest answers only.
  8. You can keep this deadline from expiring by emailing NVC at least once a year asking for a status, etc. until it's time to pay fees and all
  9. Yes this if he can get one. Even if he can get it, still include the paystubs and take the gross earnings from just the straight time and multiply it by the number of pay checks per year. As long as the paystubs add up to the same amount or more than the current income, it will be ok. I put what my base salary was despite my paystubs adding up to more than that because of bonuses, etc.
  10. This.... This is your current income. The "Total Income" amounts from the tax return transcripts go in Part. 6, Items 16.a. - 16.c. if you are including all 3 of the most recent tax years
  11. Ok so this number needs to be factual and needs to have evidence backing it up... Take the gross earnings from a pay stub and multiply it by the number of paychecks received in a year (26 if paid every other week, 52 if paid weekly, etc.) Then back this up with copies of paystubs (the most recent 6 months as per the instructions on the I-864) Re-do the I-864, base that number on what the paystubs show as the current income, put the correct numbers in for the total income for the tax returns and include the tax return transcripts with no W-2s or 1099s. Include the required proof of citizenship, make sure household size is correct and come back here for any questions.
  12. Ok... so reading the RFE, my suspicion is that it is a combination of a couple of things. As @Dashinka indicated above, there have been examples of people getting RFEs for submitting tax return transcripts along with W-2s/1099s. My big question for you guys is, in part 6, item 7 "My current individual annual income is:" What did you base this number on if you did not submit pay stubs or an employer verification letter?
  13. Travel authorization is to be able to travel internationally.... Not sure if you meant you are traveling to San Antonio? Any travel within the US you do not need the Advanced Parole
  14. Yes you would file the I-130, I-485 and the I-864 all together (Mandatory Forms). Optional forms are the I-765 if you want to get her Employment Authorization ($260 filing fee when filed concurrently with the I-485) and the I-131 if you want to get her Advanced Parole (Ability to travel while the application is pending) ($630 filing fee)
  15. Oh for some reason my brain thought that a new I-130 would be needed for the AOS but that makes sense that they would just use the one already filed. Thank you for clearing that up for me
  16. Question about this... did you officially withdraw the I-130 petition?
  17. This happens to pretty much all K-1 AOS applicants as well. When you have an I-485 pending, you are in a period of "Authorized Stay" while it is being adjudicated. As long as she entered legally (which your wife did under humanitarian parole), and she does not have any deportable offenses on her record, the concern level should be low.
  18. Some NOA1s are taking 4-8 weeks to arrive. If you don't have your receipt number 30 days after it was received you can email for support at lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov
