  1. I lived in the Philippines for a year before I filed the I-129F for Jaycel and I took the name of the section literally. "Physical Addresses" So I listed the 3 condos I rented in the Philippines for that year as well as my US addresses for the 5 year period. We were approved with no issue. Here's the instructions from the form:
  2. if that box is checked, then for immigration purposes your requirements are met and all you have to do is include a copy of that DS-3025 along with your I-485. Nothing else is needed.
  3. Ours went from 3 months before the biometrics to 40 months right after it and now back down to 6 months.... it's all BS. Lousy gov't system
  4. One other thing.... The "K-1 Visa" wasn't received. Your petition (I-129F) to USCIS to apply for a K-1 Visa for your fiancee was received by USCIS. I know it sounds like I'm splitting hairs here but in the immigration process, accuracy (especially with the terminology) is super important. Wish a speedy approval for you guys!
  5. Yes - You will be getting an I-797 - Notice of Action Receipt Notice (This is known as a NOA1 - When you get Approved you will get another I-797 - Notice of Action Approval Notice. This is known as a NOA2) Keep these notices in a safe place as you will need them later in the process. It is perfectly normal for this notice that comes in the mail to be very slow in coming. I have seen delays of 4-6 weeks in some cases. Nothing to worry about. If you have your receipt number that means the petition was received and is processing. Lots of waiting ahead for this process. If you want, you can check the status of your application by creating an account on my.uscis.gov and adding the receipt number to your account. Then you can log in and check if there's any status changes. Be prepared to see nothing other than "Case Was Received and a Receipt Notice Sent" as the status for a while.
  6. In most cases, USCIS processes petitions/applications by the rules and guidelines that were in place on the date that the form was filed
  7. No... That case decision will be made by USCIS. If the decision is an approval then USCIS will send the case over to NVC for the next phase.
  8. We put "K-1 Visa Holder" because we filed before the 90 day date because you can still be pending adjustment and a K-1 visa holder before the 90 days expires
  9. The IRS website offers different types of transcripts. USCIS requires that you send the "Tax Retuen Transcript". Check your copies and make sure that's what you sent them originally.
  10. Until the April 15, 2025 filing deadline for the 2024 ax year, the three most recent tax years are 2023. 2022 & 2021
  11. You will put both the I-485 and the I-765 applications in the same envelope and file them together. When you do this, your eligibility category for the I-765 will be c9. I would recommend paying by check and using separate checks for each form's fee payment. You cannot file it online if filing concurrently with the I-485.
  12. Jaycel's EAD estimate is 6 months and her AOS says 15 months and they are definitely de-coupled - No more "Concurrent Filing" tag with both applications grouped together in one box separated by a dotted line. Each application is in its own box on the portal now I FEEL this. LOL. 😆
  13. Mine was sent via Fed-Ex to the Tempe, AZ physical address and the proof of delivery said "Delivered to: Shipping/Receiving/Dock".
  14. When contacting the NVC, this email address will get you no information regarding your specific case. They will only give you generic information in response to emails sent to that address. If you want case specific help from NVC, you must use the online inquiry form here: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html
  15. It really is not for the faint of heart. Jaycel and I started our Journey with the I-129F petition in September 2023 when I had to leave our life together in the Philippines and return to the US because my company decided to end remote work. She finally arrived 51 weeks later on August 30th, 2024 on her K-1 visa and we were able to finally say "i Do" in October. Now we begin this AOS journey but at least we can do it hand-in-hand, facing the challenges together. Congrats to everyone here making this journey. It's arduous but so worth every tear, every frustrated check of the case status, every bureaucratic hurdle once you are together! I hope 2025 is blessed and inspired for everyone
  16. Yes, if you were in an expedited group, once the case says "Ready" you are expected to schedule your own appointments (VAC and Embassy Interview) and medical exam
  17. @HeenaMUA here is the link to the NVC inquiry form: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html
  18. I would start with an email to the address here: Canada.Visas@gdit-gss.com
  19. And that is my definition of love - You find the person with the qualities that draw you to them and you realize that you don't want to live a day without them ( Semantics? Possibly, but we all define it in our own way. I just choose to use the term love for that) I wish you the best!
  20. Yeah from what I can see, it looks like there's a whole bunch of I-765s that had their biometrics in the last couple of weeks of December that are still sitting at "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS". Gotta figure folks at USCIS are taking time off during the holidays, etc. Just gotta practice patience 🤪 Jaycel needs the I-765 approval for her DL also because she wants her ID in her married name and in CO, you need to have the name changed with the SSA first and we are doing that through the I-765 / I-485 forms.
  21. And the fact that your immigration lawyer suggested this course of action should set off all kinds of alarm bells for you. I would be looking for a new immigration attorney if I were in your shoes.
  22. Try using the Ask Emma chat to request a chat with a live agent, you can be the one typing as your wife. Just have your receipt number, wife's full name and address, phone number and email handy and you can chat with them.
  23. Can you include the 2nd page of the RFE.... On my RFE the first page was generic like that but the 2nd page was where they indicated the reason for the RFE and what they needed.
