  1. We got verbal approval today at the interview!! 🎉🎉 I know it’s not official but it feels good. The officer was kind, professional and very pleasant. She just asked how we met, when we got married, who attended, what we do for fun, what our favorite restaurant is. Then the standard yes/no questions from the I-485. She gave us that same paper as @JL07 and said it was our proof we attended the interview. She then said that this afternoon, she was going to scan in the docs we gave her and then approve us
  2. Yes... The only thing making this AOS process bearable is that we are facing it together with her here
  3. So happy to see you guys together!!
  4. Praying that they get their applications approved quickly by the court!
  5. The CFO obviously let her do a walk in... Did they give her any trouble about it?
  6. WOWOWOW!! That's great news!!
  7. Congrats!! Our interview is Wednesday... I'll try to get a review up of how it went so you guys can read it before you go on Thursday. And tell them about the ultrasound appointment at the interview... it's almost as good as having the images
  8. Yes this will be a problem - USCIS requires copies of the most recent tax year's returns or Tax Return Transcript. This is mandatory. Prior year's returns/transcripts are optional. Item Numbers 15. - 19. Federal Income Tax Return Information. You must provide either an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) transcript or a photocopy from your own records of your Federal individual income tax return for the most recent tax year, counting from the date of signing Form I-864. If you believe additional returns may help you to establish your ability to maintain sufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopies of your Federal individual income tax returns for the three most recent years.
  9. Same here! Been checking since 4pm my time yesterday
  10. USCIS decided to change the language for that status but it's still the same status
  11. Did you give that to the officer right at the beginning of the interview?
  12. That will be cutting it really close... anything goes awry and that's a missed connection easily
  13. Yes I waited here in Denver… I wanted to make the whole trip with her but due to several factors, that became impossible for us. She flew into LAX from Manila and because her flight was a little delayed, they landed at the same time as 3 other international flights so she had to wait almost an hour to get to the immigration officer. But once she got there, he was kind & professional and processed her entry right there at primary inspection. No secondary. He asked my name and the address where she will be living here, stamped her passport and pointed out the date he wrote in and said, “If you don’t marry your petitioner by that date, you have to leave the US.” Then he said welcome to the US and sent her on her way. Fortunately from reading advice on here, we made sure she had a 4 hour layover between her arrival and her connecting flight here to Denver and she had plenty of time to navigate the airport to get to her gate for the next flight
  14. When we registered our marriage with the county clerk, we asked for 10 certified true copies because we knew with the Adjustment of Status and things like this we would need them. For the ROM we just sent them a Certified True Copy plus photocopies. The Birth Certificates we just sent photocopies
  15. This is why Jaycel and I are bringing the copy that we made of our entire AOS submission just before we put it in the FedEx Pak
  16. The average processing time for an I-130 filed by a US Citizen for an immediate relative these days is 15-17 months. Mind you this is the average time. Each case is unique and some take longer than others. You are not that far outside the 80% of cases completed for the Service Center OPS timeline which right now is sitting right at 17 months. Depending on what your receipt date is in December 2023, you are not considered outside of normal processing time until after October 2025, at which time you can submit a service request. The congressional offices can't really do much for you if you are not outside the normal processing time. Hiring a lawyer won't do much for you at this point either. It's too soon for a mandamus lawsuit. Go here and select the I-130, your category and where it's being processed and then scroll down and put your exact receipt date into the tool to find out when you can put in a service request https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/
  17. Is the CFO office she's going to the one in Quezon City (Manila) Make sure she's the first one in line there in the morning
  18. Finally, 8 months after receiving the completed ROM back from the consulate in San Francisco, the DFA just gave us the transmittal details. 🤪
  19. Jaycel did the morning session at CFO but she didn't get out of there until 1pm. Check the email you used to register for the receipt
  20. As long as she reaches passport control by 11:59pm on 7/22 they should allow her to enter. Remember that the US is behind the Philippines Time zone so at this point, if you can get the CFO done on Monday morning, then I would book a direct flight Manila to LAX or San Francisco departing the evening of the 21st Manila time or first thing in the morning on the 22nd if you can find one. Jaycel left the Philippines at 11 am on Aug 30th in Manila and landed at 2 pm Aug 30th in LAX
  21. Thank you! I'll be sure to make a post about the experience
  22. Praying for you guys!! Maybe I didn't see it if it was posted, I'm just curious why the issue date of the visa is so close to the end of the medical exam's validity? (If you don't mind sharing)
