  1. He'll be a resident. He can't become a citizen for a few years after he's been here.
  2. It went very well. We got told our status at the interview. He got his passport back the following week and we set his flight for next week on Sept 3rd.
  3. Thank you so much for the clarification. That's very helpful.
  4. Did you pay extra to have it delivered to your door? My husband registered for his interview date and then the "choosing a courier" part was only choosing a generic location for DX (so he picked London as the best option of the 3 choices... the others were Manchester & maybe ireland?). Anyway, It didn't even ask him for his address to send the documents to so we assume it's going to go to some London DX Courier depot and he has to go to London to pick it up from DX.(?) All this to ask, did you have similar courier options and did it come directly to your door or did you have to pick it up from DX?
  5. Hey @Nat Murph just checking in on you... did you get your IL yet? I hope you and your spouse are holding up ok 💜
  6. Yes,we did...but the courier thing was confusing. It seems like the visa documents get sent to a DX courier delivery depot and he then has to pick it up(?) I think we're going to pay the extra to have it delivered to his residence and have him sign for it.
  7. Absolutely ❤️ The irony of July 4th is not lost on us 🤣
  8. Did you get your IL? My husband and I just got it about 20 mins ago! We have an Aug 5th appointment date. Fingers crossed for you too! 🤞❤
  9. I still haven't yet. My husband and I are trying to stay hopeful that we hear something in the next week.... but we're pretty disheartened at this point.
  10. I'm sorry you didn't haven't either. This is just so frustrating.
  11. Hi Nat, We haven't heard anything yet.😔 Did you get your IL yet?
  12. I absolutely understand. I was going to tell my husband about the person who was DQ'd on the 18th and got their IL today, but we've both had our hopes crushed SO many times during this process that I didn't want to have him think that our IL is coming soon just for his hopes to be crushed AGAIN. I think that immigration forgets that these are people's lives they are holding up. We've both been in limbo for so long just waiting. It's a truly horrible thing to put good people through. We feel so defeated.
  13. It's all just very frustrating. Especially when there's nothing more we can do but sit and wait. Fingers crossed for both of us. 🤞
  14. @M S Khan No, not yet. But I'll be on the lookout now that you've mentioned someone got theirs today. Their schedule recently has been so off... I thought they only sent them out once a month (at the end of the month)?
  15. @M S Khan Yes, I saw that noted within this thread so I've told my husband that we need to make sure we register the appointment date on that website once we get our IL. Thank you so much.
  16. @M S Khan thank you so much. I appreciate the reply. We'll keep out fingers crossed that we hear something by the end of June.
  17. My (london) husband and I (us) were DQ'd on April 21st but have not gotten our IL with the interview date yet. We thought we'd get the IL in June, but we didn't. Does this timeline seem "normal"? Should we be getting one in July now? We have concerns there is a delay that we are unaware of. Any thoughts/guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
