  1. My main concern is that I don't want to give them many reasons to deny the K1 at the interview, but if I thought it would add any significant weight to the decision, I would definitely go there again. But seeing as they don't even let the petitioners inside for the interview... Ultimately, the issue may be more of an economical one for me, as flying to Manila isn't a cheap endeavor, or it's a minimum of $1200 dollars just for the flight, then tack on the accommodations, etc. All things considered, I hope that the people at the embassy responsible for making the K1 approvals aren't oblivious or apathetic to the emotional, financial, and time investment that's involved, just to get to the interview stage... I also can't imagine that the levels of visa fraud are all that significant, considering how difficult they make the process, but perhaps they do that to specifically deter people... Anyway, as they say, time will tell. โœŒ๐Ÿผ๐Ÿฅด
  2. Much appreciated. I'll spend that money on the wedding and honeymoon then. Blessings, all ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
  3. Hello all, I know for the K1 that they require at least one meeting within 2 years, but sometimes it's uncertain how strict they are, when it comes to proving a bonafide relationship. Me and my fiancee met once in November, 2023, and got engaged then. Now, our K1 embassy interview at Manila is scheduled for August, 2024. So, my question, do you think they'll want more than that one meeting, or should a buy a plane ticket? Thanks
  4. Yes, indeed. I was able to schedule an appointment. Thanks ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ
  5. Hello all, I appreciate the help and wisdom you have provided thus far. You are truly doing the Lord's work. Just seeing if anyone has a more simplified checklist for the K1 interview at the Manila embassy, just to compare notes. I'm sure the biggest fear for most is missing something, which would cause further delays, in an already overly complex, expensive, and time-consuming operation. I mainly ask this because the official government website and even the letters they send are often a mess or not organized in a way that is expressly logical. I bow before your wisdom and offer thanks, ~Chris
  6. Aye. It's a shame ๐Ÿฅฒ
  7. Is the petitioner allowed to attend the K1 Visa interview, at the Manila embassy? I've read some conflicting info on it... Also, any tips on scheduling an interview? Seems it keeps saying that all the slots are filled, or "there are currently no appointments available..." Some had suggested paying someone to book the appointment, but I'm not sure that's even legit ๐Ÿค” Thanks ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป
  8. Alright, J.M. Appreciated ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
  9. Hello all, I received the K1-FTP letter from the NVC on June 4, 2024, and the CEAC immigrant visa application "Ready" status on June 6. Now, my questions: Should I wait for the Manila embassy welcome letter (Packet 3), or go ahead and fill out the DS-160? Will they send that packet by mail or email? Do they schedule the interview date, or do we do that when completing the DS-160? Also, should I be concerned about the I-797 approval expiration date, at the end of August, before the interview date is scheduled? Thanks for your help ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿผ
