  1. For those in a similar situation, we had our Green Card interview last Friday, and our case was approved. Today, the online status changed to 'issued.' It seems that if your interview was before the quotas were reached and your case was approved at that time, you should be in the clear."
  2. @appleblossom Thank you. Our status has been "Administrative Processing" since yesterday.
  3. Wouldn't they have informed us if they planned to keep our passports until October 1st? On September 6th, after our interview in London, they told us that our green card was approved and that we would receive our passports back within 1-2 weeks @appleblossom.
  4. For those who recently completed their interview, how long did it take for you to receive/ be able to collect your passport afterward?"
  5. Hello! (1) For those who opted for collection, how long did it take to receive your passport after the interview? Our interview is scheduled for early Friday morning in London. (2) Additionally, should EB2 dependents (spouses) expect any specific questions during the interview? I've read online that they might be asked about the marriage, the primary applicant's application, and whether they plan to work in the US. Thank you!
  6. I just received my IL for Sept 6th - PD June 2021 - EB2 - DQ Oct 2023 (initially at the Paris Embassy, transferred my case to London at the end of June). Thank you all for your advice, especially @appleblossom . It's super helpful!
  7. Thank you @appleblossom I may do that. Do you know if transfers are treated the same in London in terms of the timeline (My PD is June 2021 - DQ is the end of October 2023. I transferred my case to London at the end of June (the transfer was approved) ? I was hoping to get an interview very soon.
  8. @appleblossomO1, premium processing, I don't need an interview (likely) as I already had a nonimmigrant visa over the last four years.
  9. @appleblossom do you know if transfers usually take longer to get an interview? My PD is June 2021 - DQ end of October 2023. I transferred my case to London at the end of June (the transfer was approved). I am wondering if I should file another (nonimmigrant) visa out of precaution if I need to be in the US on October 1st to start a new job. Thanks a lot in advance!
  10. Fingers crossed for you! EB2-NIW here. PD June 2021. DQ end of October 2023. Last week, I asked for a transfer to London (from Paris) as the Paris Embassy is particularly slow this year (and closing for the Olympics). I am a UK resident. I'm also hoping to get an IL soon!
  11. Based on what are you saying that appointments have drastically reduced in London?
  12. As a quick update, I have transferred my case to London, and the transfer should be approved within 1-2 weeks. I am currently discussing with my employer whether it would be beneficial to apply for a nonimmigrant visa as a backup plan (O1 visa, I cannot do an L1). My wife is having similar discussions with her employer (L1 visa). I am hoping the US Embassy in London will contact me soon to schedule an interview, but I am not sure how or when they will plan their next batch of interviews.
  13. I am a UK resident, so I am considering asking to switch to the UK Embassy. @appleblossom , do you know how long the wait times are in London? I heard it was 11 months (from the date you were DQ'ed), but I also read it was super quick, so I'm not sure if it is worth it. If I switch to London, does anyone know if I need to have my medical appointment in London (versus in Paris)? Thank you
  14. On https://ceac.state.gov/iv is says my case is currently (still) at the NVC.
  15. Do we know who recently got an interview scheduled in Paris and when they were DQed? I hope the backlog is not more than one year. This is crazy.
  16. @appleblossomI already provided my timeline above - PD date June 2021/ DQed end of October-November 2023. Yes, I have been getting the email from the NVC telling me I am still in line. EB2 visa. Yes, I am a French national. I have just learned that there will be no appointment at the Paris Embassy in August because of the Olympics. I am concerned that the Olympics have created a backlog, as the Embassy has been focusing on this. I am frustrated and concerned. I may try to get my interview in another country.
  17. Joining this conversation! DQed' in November 2023. Waiting for the Embassy to give me an interview date in Paris. This is getting long. I am supposed to start a job in NYC on October 1st, 2024.
