  1. Hi @Froozion ... We got the IV stamped in Oct and are planning to cross the border in Niagara Falls in the 1st week of Jan. Do officers specifically ask about the SSN which processing the application during the initial landing? In my case I have SSN as I worked in US in the past but for my wife and son I selected that we need a new SSN for them in DS 260. We are planning come back to Canada after the initial landing and taking GC status and do the permanent move some time in Feb/Mar. So if they take care of the SSN during landing then I was hoping to avoid a trip to again apply at the SSN office in the US.
  2. Hi @rchak what is the end date on the visa? Did they give it 6 months from your Medical exam or 6 months from your Interview date?
  3. Hey....My status is updated to issued this morning (Interview Date: Sep 6th). I did not send any mail. I am still awaiting the mailing details in the ais.usvisa-info site.
  4. Hey @AA-H or any early September interview attendees, anyone else have their status updated to 'Issued' ? My Case last Updated still says Oct 1st and still in Ready status
  5. Am in the same boat. Case last Updated says Oct 1st but still in Ready status.
  6. I am seeing a very similar update. I see that my case was updated on Sep 26th but it is still showing as READY. The previous update after my Sep 6th interview was on 9/13.
  7. Hello Group, Did anyone who have had their interview early Sep (6th - 10th) get any new updates from consulate informing about a delay? In my case I had the EB2 interview on 6th and was approved in the interview. The status changed the same day on 09/06 to 'Issued' but was marked back as 'Ready' on 09/13. There have been no further updates since then and I did not receive any mail from MTL. Did anyone in the same boat email them recently and got any response? Should I be reaching out to them now to check or should I just wait until Oct 1st ?
  8. HI @Coco_2023 We did not take any food for our 4 yr old but felt otherwise when we saw another family who got in cut pieces of fruit in small transparent Tupperware/Ziplock. I would suggest to take small quantity of fruit or open snack bars in transparent ziplock bag. Also they just have a water fountain but no cups, having a empty paper cup would help the child drink better if needed.
  9. Thanks @AA-H your inputs did calm me a bit. I was fairly surprised when the CEAC status changed to 'Issued' the same evening of the EB2 interview on 6th. Was concerned and did not understand why it went back to 'Ready' on 13th. Looks like they keep making updates to the case as 'Last updated timestamp' for me changed on 6th, 9th and 13th. Wonder what processing steps are being done during these updates.

  11. Hello, I had the EB2 interview on 6th and was approved in the interview. The status changed the same day on 09/06 to 'Issued' and stayed in the same status until now. But when I see the status now 09/13 it is showing 'Ready' with the below information. I am very concerned since the status actually moved backwards. "Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. " Would it be part of the EB2 visa number running out on Sep 9th or would it be anything else? I did not see any new email notification.
  12. Hi @Froozion , Congratulation on your approval. Is your CEAC status showing as 'Issued' ? or is it still showing 'In-Transit'? I had read somewhere that 'Issued' status means the actual Visa is printed and pasted in the passport. Not sure if that is a true statement.
  13. I think its a bigger deal if you don't want to bring the child who is listed as an applicant. They did mention that family members who are on the application are always welcomed and is actually appreciated. I am planning to take my 5 yr old to my upcoming interview
  14. When I look at the spreadsheet most of the statuses starting back from July 2023 are marked as 'Administrative Processing' and there is no update after that. Does it take normally this long after it goes into AP to complete visa processing decision? Or do you think applicants did not update the status after that in the spreadsheet?
  15. Thanks for the response Froozion. This is pretty disheartening. Is there any link where the monthly Montreal stats giving the breakdown of the Immigrant visa categories for which IL's were sent out each month?
  16. Hi, I have started receiving the automated mails from NVC since PD became current in July.... but have not received the Interview Letter yet. Since NVC Call center is discontinued, does anyone know if raising 'Public Inquiry Form' or calling the Montreal embassy get any traction to my case as my DQ is much before the current Jan 2023 they were inviting?
  17. Hello, In am Canadian resident and had submitted Indian Police clearance certificate more than 2 years ago to NVC and was DQ in 2022. If I get an IL would I be expected to get a new police clearance certificate from India even though I do not live in India (visited India for vacation totaling less than 60 days since the last submission). Anyone faced this situation? Would be helpful to know as getting the India PCC from Canada is a pain and also needs submission of the passports. Montreal Link says: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html#pre_interview_checklist "If you previously submitted a police certificate to NVC, it is more than one (1) year old, and you still live in that country, you must obtain and bring a more recent police certificate to your visa interview as the one you previously submitted will have expired. "
  18. Hello, I am a Canadian citizen and currently residing in Canada. Below is my situation: EB2 employment based Priority Date : 12 June 2012 Country of chargeability : India Documentarily Qualified : April 2022 Status in CEAC : At NVC I was DQ in April 2022 but then the eb2 dates got retrogressed later that year. I see that my PD will be current in July. Will they consider that my DQ was completed in Apr 2022 and can I expect an Interview letter soon for the Montreal consulate? Its been a super long wait which I am hoping will end soon. Any advise on above will be very helpful. Thanks.
