  1. HI @Coco_2023 We did not take any food for our 4 yr old but felt otherwise when we saw another family who got in cut pieces of fruit in small transparent Tupperware/Ziplock. I would suggest to take small quantity of fruit or open snack bars in transparent ziplock bag. Also they just have a water fountain but no cups, having a empty paper cup would help the child drink better if needed.
  2. Thanks @AA-H your inputs did calm me a bit. I was fairly surprised when the CEAC status changed to 'Issued' the same evening of the EB2 interview on 6th. Was concerned and did not understand why it went back to 'Ready' on 13th. Looks like they keep making updates to the case as 'Last updated timestamp' for me changed on 6th, 9th and 13th. Wonder what processing steps are being done during these updates.

  4. Hello, I had the EB2 interview on 6th and was approved in the interview. The status changed the same day on 09/06 to 'Issued' and stayed in the same status until now. But when I see the status now 09/13 it is showing 'Ready' with the below information. I am very concerned since the status actually moved backwards. "Your case is ready for you to schedule an interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Montreal. If you have already scheduled an interview appointment, please prepare your documents as directed in your appointment letter and appear at the Consulate on the appointed date and time. Otherwise, please wait until you have been notified of your interview appointment. " Would it be part of the EB2 visa number running out on Sep 9th or would it be anything else? I did not see any new email notification.
  5. Hi @Froozion , Congratulation on your approval. Is your CEAC status showing as 'Issued' ? or is it still showing 'In-Transit'? I had read somewhere that 'Issued' status means the actual Visa is printed and pasted in the passport. Not sure if that is a true statement.
  6. I think its a bigger deal if you don't want to bring the child who is listed as an applicant. They did mention that family members who are on the application are always welcomed and is actually appreciated. I am planning to take my 5 yr old to my upcoming interview
  7. When I look at the spreadsheet most of the statuses starting back from July 2023 are marked as 'Administrative Processing' and there is no update after that. Does it take normally this long after it goes into AP to complete visa processing decision? Or do you think applicants did not update the status after that in the spreadsheet?
  8. Thanks for the response Froozion. This is pretty disheartening. Is there any link where the monthly Montreal stats giving the breakdown of the Immigrant visa categories for which IL's were sent out each month?
  9. Hi, I have started receiving the automated mails from NVC since PD became current in July.... but have not received the Interview Letter yet. Since NVC Call center is discontinued, does anyone know if raising 'Public Inquiry Form' or calling the Montreal embassy get any traction to my case as my DQ is much before the current Jan 2023 they were inviting?
  10. Hello, In am Canadian resident and had submitted Indian Police clearance certificate more than 2 years ago to NVC and was DQ in 2022. If I get an IL would I be expected to get a new police clearance certificate from India even though I do not live in India (visited India for vacation totaling less than 60 days since the last submission). Anyone faced this situation? Would be helpful to know as getting the India PCC from Canada is a pain and also needs submission of the passports. Montreal Link says: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html#pre_interview_checklist "If you previously submitted a police certificate to NVC, it is more than one (1) year old, and you still live in that country, you must obtain and bring a more recent police certificate to your visa interview as the one you previously submitted will have expired. "
  11. Hello, I am a Canadian citizen and currently residing in Canada. Below is my situation: EB2 employment based Priority Date : 12 June 2012 Country of chargeability : India Documentarily Qualified : April 2022 Status in CEAC : At NVC I was DQ in April 2022 but then the eb2 dates got retrogressed later that year. I see that my PD will be current in July. Will they consider that my DQ was completed in Apr 2022 and can I expect an Interview letter soon for the Montreal consulate? Its been a super long wait which I am hoping will end soon. Any advise on above will be very helpful. Thanks.
