I know you get a green rejection letter with your packet back which you’re supposed to include on top of the resubmitted packet. Can I ignore that when i get it then and just do refile now? My only worry is what if they’re expecting that packet to be returned as well.

Like the title says. Spent a whole week preparing the package and when it came time to mail it I forgot to include the payment cheque with the package. I feel so stupid. We tried getting it intercepted but USPS wasn't able to (even though we let them know literally only 2 hours after we dropped the package off). I looked it up online and it seems the best course of action is to wait for the rejection notice but I don't know how long it takes and I only have 50 days left on my k1 visa. I'm really stressed. Does anyone know if I should file again before I receive my original just wait and hope they send me the packet back on time. I’ve been told by others refiling asap is the better course of action since i don’t wanna risk overstaying.
