  1. Thank you for your response Yareth. I do have the official document and will in rude that as well
  2. Hi Everyone, Back in 2018 I had my name legally changed because the name on my ID did not match my SSC or birth certificate because of an apparent clerical error from when i was born. To make it less confusing i will say my "real" name is Gary and the incorrect name was Geary. I know how stupid that sounds but it is actually really close to what the actual mistake was. I found out in 2017 and went through the process of getting it changed and a new SSC. I have went by "Gary" my whole life, it's on my ID, school records, lease documents. And most importantly my criminal record. I was arrested in 2015 and the record says "Gary" and not "Geary" what my legal name actually was at that time. Since my name change document is from 2018 saying i changed my name to Gary and the arrest is from 3 years earlier, will that be a problem?
  3. I went to the county clerk this morning and they gave ne a certified letter stating there were no court records regarding the case. Thank you for your help!
  4. I had went before and they said there was no court records since I did not go to court and was released directly from the arresting precinct without charges filed. So I am unsure what other document I could get to prove that.
  5. I (petitioner) am preparing my i-129f and have a question regarding criminal history. The only arrest i have is for possession of a controlled substance (marijuana) but I was released with no charges being filed. I do have a copy of the arrest record and a separate document showing my conviction history (which has nothing on it). Those are the only documents I could get regarding the case. There are no court records, anything showing I was released without charges being filed, or why i was released with no charges filed. I asked the arresting precinct and city clerk and there was nothing else. Should I include the reason of being released without charges in Part 3 Section 4b? Or just give the circumstances of the arrest and that is was released without charges? Would the 2 documents be sufficient?
  6. Thank you. I may have been over thinking it. Was worried that if they pull my address history and the dates don't match up and get an RFE. I really appreciate both of your replies
  7. Hello All, This is my first post so hope that I word it right! I am currently preparing to submit my I-129F as the petitioner. Under address history it is asking for past 5 years of physical addresses. I have all of the information but I have been renting. I have 3 addresses is the last 5 years and there is some overlap if going by my lease details. For example my lease at address A ended 6/1/2020 and my lease at address B started 5/28/2020. I physically started living at address B at the start of the lease but did not officially move out of address A until 6/1/2020. Should I go based off of the lease end date or when I physically physically stopped living there? I can't find anything about overlap in addresses so I am not sure what to put on the application. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
