  1. Hi guys, In the I-130A Form for the spouse beneficiary there is a field for filling out the Alien Registration Number (A-Number) if any. I'd like to know what exactly an Alien registration Number is 🤔 More specifically: The beneficiary has been a Diversity visa selectee and has submitted the Online Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration Application (DS-260) form in the past. After DS-260 form submission, the beneficiary also sent the requested documents to Kentucky Consular Center, but never received an interview date from the KCC/US embassy in their own country as it was during Covid, and it slowed down the process. I would like to know if after submitting the DS-260 application form the beneficiary acquired an Alien Registration Number, or the DS-260 form submission does not grant them an A-Number? Thank you.
  2. Hello guys, Does anyone know if the Passport number is the same as Travel Document number? I encountered this question in the I-130 form. Thanks.
  3. Hi everyone, I'd like to confirm the following points related to applying for a marriage visa (CR1) online: 1. When filling out the I-130 application and the Form I-130A, "Supplemental Information for Spouse Beneficiary", do we need to fill out the forms on computer, print them, and then sign them with a pen, then scan both forms and upload at our USCIS account page? Or we must sign them on the computer (digital signature)? 2. When applying online, do we have to upload the scans of the original documents, and not the scans of the copies of the documents? 3. Photos: As per the following requirement on the USCIS website -- "You must submit two identical color passport-style photographs of yourself and your spouse (if he or she is in the United States) taken within 30 days of filing this petition." -- since we will be applying online, do we just need to upload one photo instead of two? 4. I (the beneficiary) will be physically in the United States with my husband (petitioner) when filing for my spouse visa and filling out the Forms I-130 and I-130A. In this case, do I have to sign Form I-130A? Thank you so much in advance for your help! And have a wonderful day 🌻
  4. I am not going to have the documents translated in the US, I will have them translated in my own country. In this case just the translation would be enough - without notarizing and putting an apostille?
  5. Hey everyone, I would like to make sure about the following regarding translations of the documents as part of applying for a CR1/IR1 visa: This is what the "Instructions for Form I-130" guide tells at the USCIS website: "Translations. If you submit a document with information in a foreign language, you must also submit a full English translation. The translator must sign a certification that the English language translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English. The certification must also include their signature, printed name, the signature date, and their contact information." Does anyone know if only a translation into English is enough for the documents that are in a foreign language, or it is also required to get an apostille on it after having it notarized? Thanks in advance!
  6. And can the address change at the NVC stage cause any delay in the process?
  7. Thanks for your response! And yes, I would like to know about filing fees, basically all fees (application fees, any other fees) since filing the I-130 application.
  8. Hello everyone! Hope you are doing well I have two questions with regards to IR-1/CR-1 spouse visa process: Q1: I would like to get an idea of the IR-1/CR-1 spouse visa process cost broken down into stages (documents) with their costs, i.e. the cost of the documents the PETITIONER (US citizen) submits, and the cost of the documents the FOREIGN SPOUSE has to submit. Or if anyone knows where I can find this information, I would appreciate if you could share the link. Q2: If the petitioner's living address changes after submitting the I-130 form, do we need to update the form with the new address, how does it need to be updated? And what is more important, will the address change cause any delay in the whole visa process? Thank you so much in advance!
