We are looking to start a small Hermitage so that Theravada Buddhist monks can come to live and serve the local community. Here's what I understand and some questions:
* Our religious nonprofit needs 501c3 approval
* We must be registered for 2 years (is that company formation or 501c3 approval?)
* We must have a physical space that is for services. We can find land, but the monks will also be doing some building. How much infrastructure are they looking for? Can the land be leased or must it be owned by the organization?
* Because theravada is a broad category, do we need to affiliate with another organization?
