  1. When I requested a copy of my medical records from my GP surgery they told me it would take 30 days to do but I got them about 15-20 days after requesting them. I actually told my mum how long they said it would take and she used to work in GP surgery printing peoples medical records as part of her role and she said it's ridiculous that they give that long a timeframe to do it as you just search for the persons records and press print haha
  2. Makes sense - I didn't know whether it was possible that was all. I was able to get my Covid vaccine after my medical but before my interview they offered to hold the file as I had 6 weeks between my medical and interview so I could get it done. Once I had provided sufficient proof of vaccine they updated my file and sent it to the embassy.
  3. Are you not able to contact the place where you got your medical done and ask them about them marking the DS-3025 incorrectly?
  4. It comes in the mail. I don't think it is shown on the EAD from what I know of
  5. My DS 3025 was sent to me after my medical by the medical provider in the UK by a secure link from which I could download it. I printed it off as well just in case. So I could check as well if it was marked correctly before travelling to the USA. Did you receive your DS 3025 by email or by post? Have you contacted the medical provider you did your medical with and asked them about the issue of your DS 3025 not being marked as complete? Not sure if they could update their records or not?
  6. From what I have read I think 6 months is an average amount of time it takes to get the EAD card but from what I have seen recently people have been getting theirs a little bit before that although of course that timeline can change
  7. I haven't had the green card interview yet. I am in the process of filing for the AOS
  8. Quite easily - you type in SSA and then the name of the branch you are looking for. I did this before to validate that the local office number was correct
  9. You can actually - when I went to my SSN appointment they gave me a letter with the office number on it along with the national number. The local office number was also online for the one I went to as well.
  10. Not with the UK it isn't. I had a sealed envelope and I know and have seen people on the forum that said the same thing
  11. I have only ever seen people advise to go 2 weeks after entering the USA. This post is from 2022. I wouldn't class that as recent. Which number have you been calling for SSA? If it's the national helpline number then try the local office number for where you applied for the SSN or go in person to the local office you applied at like @K1visaHopeful said.
  12. No - you need to file an I-765 and wait until that is approved and the EAD card has been received as well
  13. Couldn't you have got a co sponsor or someone else to sponsor him for the AOS? And borrow the money for the AOS filing fee?
  14. It depends on the CBP Officer. You will need to give them your passport and the sealed document folder from the embassy. They will ask you some questions and take your fingerprints and photo and remind you of the terms of the K1 visa. They will then stamp your passport and return that to you.
  15. I think I contacted the embassy once or twice with queries but the responses seemed like generic responses
  16. I would recommend getting the SSN as soon as possible. I was told to go about 2 weeks after entering the USA
  17. Hi all, Just wondering which out of these 4 sports in the USA that you prefer to watch or is your favourite? (Feel free to say which teams you support as well). I like them all but my favourite to watch is American Football (LA Chargers) as that is the closest to Rugby which is my main sport I played growing up. Next would be Baseball (San Diego Padres) and then Ice Hockey (San Jose Sharks). I watch Basketball the least (only occasionally) but I don't really have a team I follow or support much in it.
  18. Since I posted this I have been to a Trader Joes though which was a good experience
  19. I would go at that time if I could - would definitely be a lot quieter
  20. I haven't been through this myself but he could always contact Visa Medicals and ask them when his year begins from. If I had any queries they were very helpful and even if they didn't know the answer they would look into and call me back.
