  1. I think the self service check in kiosks are still able to be used there but I think baggage drop opens about 3 hours before departure time so usually I have had to wait around for it to open before going through to security if I have got there early.
  2. Hey, that would be great if you could! Thank you so much! I did look at their reviews earlier and they sounded good.
  3. Actually I just checked and I got a quote of £121 for standard but there is a sale on although I am not shipping my stuff over just yet. I’m interested in hearing about your experience with them and the service you received
  4. Where about in the USA are you shipping them to? Are those prices for door to door? Might have to look at them after work haha When are you shipping them as well?
  5. Haha I think the 3 types of pizza at the one near me in the UK is Margherita, Pepperoni and BBQ Chicken.
  6. Hi, I thought it was today that you were travelling over. Glad you had a safe trip. Thank you for getting back to me and letting me know regarding this as well. Much appreciated!
  7. Apologies I forgot to reply to this. Thank you for the recommendation but think I am going to with either DHL, Fedex or UPS on this as only looking to ship 1 box plus I need my stuff there within a week or 2 and I can't wait for to be delivered in a few months so I think I am ok paying an extra £50 based on the quotes I have got.
  8. Aldi is very good - thats where my family goes for food shopping at the moment. Saves about £20 a shop compared to some of the other supermarkets in the UK. Costco is very good - I do like going and getting one of their 18 inch pizzas haha
  9. Hi, apologies it was just meant as a general post of where people like to shop for food as I already know the ones in the area I am moving to in California but I'm just intrigued to see where others like to shop whether it is a well known chain of supermarkets or smaller chain of supermarkets/independent store. I probably could have explained that a bit better in my OP. My fiancee did say the same as you that shopping is more expensive over there than the UK (she has been shopping with me in the UK as well). I have a feeling we will be going to Walmart for the time being until I start work over there.
  10. Hi, Unfortunately I'm not sure of the answer to your query but I'm sure someone on here will. I did want to ask you though if the Civil Servant Doctor has said you must get the Flu vaccine or whether it is something that you are getting because it is coming up to Flu season? Just asking as I am getting the Flu vaccine through my employer in just over 2 weeks. I had my Covid vaccine a few weeks after my medical where I sent over my proof of vaccination to Visa Medicals and they updated my file before sending over to the embassy. Hope you can help!
  11. My fiancee has Global Entry and she said it is more convenient for her
  12. Glad that you have had your visa approved and received it now! I can imagine that the cake was very nice as well haha I did want to get a drink and some cake from District Coffee after my interview but I had to get to London St Pancras for the train back so I had to get something from the station instead.
  13. @wallflowers have you had your interview yet?
  14. Hi all, Just wondering which Supermarkets people prefer to shop at? My fiancee prefers Walmart due to her being able to do a weekly shop for less money whereas I prefer Safeway because I feel like they have better quality products on some things.. We both like Costco as well. She also likes Trader Joes (I haven't been to one yet).
  15. Me and my fiancee watch this show and it is very interesting in terms of some the people they have on it
  16. My fiancée said mobile phones are expensive in the USA from her experience so she only tries to change phone every 4-6 years. I definitely think you should consolidate your accounts. Makes things more manageable for yourself
  17. Usually when there is an overwhelming consensus of opinion on something it is a pretty good idea to listen to what is being said. I don’t think you are considering everything that has been said at all. I think you are hurt by what has happened and I completely understand that but I would strongly encourage you to think about this again.
  18. Was there not a possibility of booking your date of travel to the USA slightly later than the date you have originally booked to make sure you have everything sorted before you went? As most people I have seen on here have travelled at least a month after their interview.
  19. Just an update on this. I have sorted this now. I have enough items I need to provide proof of vaccination for this so I have booked the vaccination for in 2 and a half weeks.
  20. Surely it isn’t going hurt to pay 50p every 3 months? That’s £2 a year!
  21. I understand that extra evidence is extra evidence but a receipt to show purchase of a ring isn’t really relevant to the case as other members have said that they are more interested in proof of you both meeting in person with evidence such pictures of you together and proof of travel. This should have been looked into before you sent the paperwork off but I do hope that this doesn’t cause an issue for your case and wish you both the best of luck with it.
  22. I’m not sure whether this will be ok but I’m not sure why you thought the ring receipt was necessary to include as evidence? An idea of what you need to provide in terms of evidence is on this link - https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f.
  23. Personally I would have at least one UK bank account open for the foreseeable just in case after the others have been closed but whatever works best for you and what you are most comfortable with.
