  1. Yeah I would as well if I was in that situation
  2. Personally I wouldn't travel until I had the green card physically in hand. When we went to Wyoming last month I used the EAD to travel (as it's a form of Real ID) but that was the week before the week of my AOS interview and the approval. I received the green card around 12 days after my interview.
  3. My wife was at the SSA yesterday for an appointment so she asked on my behalf and she got told that I needed to book an appointment to update the SSN card. So I rang the local SSA office and booked an appointment for in 3 weeks time.
  4. Just curious here but did you get the USCIS notification to say she was approved or is this based on them verbally saying she was approved?
  5. Just received my green card today as well
  6. Passed my driving test today and got a temporary State Driving License for now. Hopefully the card comes in the post in a couple of weeks

  8. Got a notification yesterday to say that the card has been produced
  9. Got a notification yesterday to say that the card has been produced
  10. Yes it said that on my notice as well so I think it is a generic statement for everyone
  11. They don't give you the documents from the sealed K1 package back at POE
  12. As @MalloryCat says it depends on the state. In California I needed my EAD in order to apply for a State Driving License
  13. I was advised to go to the SSA office about 2 weeks after travelling here when applying for the SSN just to allow time for the immigration and SSA systems to correspond with each other (that was my understanding anyway).
  14. It took me about 3 weeks to receive mine and I was told to contact them if it had been more than 4 weeks
  15. Also in terms of appointments keep checking the site as dates and times will become available at some point. I struggled to get an appointment initially until I finally managed to book an appointment (I checked regularly as well). There ended up being about 6 weeks between my medical and my interview at the embassy.
  16. I can’t say for the Montreal embassy but with the London embassy my NOA2 had expired but I brought a signed letter of intent each from me and my now wife with me to the interview which re validated the notice/petition as @Edward and Jaycel mentioned. There were no issues regarding this. I would advise you to bring signed letters of intent from you both.
  17. I just kept the same phone (as my phone is dual SIM compatible) and then got added to my father in laws family plan with AT&T and got a US SIM for it
