First, I apologize if these questions have been answered numerous times! Between work and filling out these forms, it has been an exhausting process. I have a few questions for the I30 form that I was hoping you all could provide assistance with before submitting 😊
Question 1: Under the section for my addresses for the past 5 years: It requires me to provide an end date for each address. For my current address, should I simply put today’s date?
Question 2: My wife is from Colombia, so she has two last surnames. Should I include both of her last names in the same ‘last name’ section?
Question 3: Was the beneficiary ever in the United States? If she was at a US airport for a flight layover, does that still count as a "yes" response?
Question 4: Under the ‘current spouse’ section, there is a question asking, “When did your beneficiary's last marriage end?” Does this refer to our current marriage or her previous one?
Question 5: Under “current spouse,” it requests my information (the husband), and then two sections below, it asks for “additional family,” with options for husband or child. Should I fill this out as well, since it’s the same question as under the current spouse, or leave it blank?
Question 6: When uploading files such as our marriage certificate, should we include both the original one in Spanish and the translated one in English? If both are required, should they be in the same PDF document or separate uploaded documents?
Question 7: For Form I30A, do we simply print it, have my wife sign it, and then scan and upload it to the appropriate section in the I30?
Question 8: For additional evidence we will be submitting our current joint lease for our apartment, pictures, 3rd party letters ,etc. I was wondering if I can also write a letter for myself?
Question 8: Is there a current timeframe for the turnaround in Colombia right now?
