  1. the filing and priority date are 11/10/2015. i thought it would be 7/17/2015 but it was filed improperly then. ill take a picture when i have the time tomorrow
  2. I was finally issued the visa. Glad I went to the interview. also for the record, pretty sure all of the dates i put are correct.
  3. once the missing documents are received, or is it the same officer who interviewed you who works on your case until it is complete?
  4. So if i go through land POE with my immigrant visa, tell them I'm not importing the car and that I will be returning to Canada to sell it, will I need any documents to give them of any sort? Or will they just skip the whole car examination process
  5. After our interview my mom was given 221g for her medical results because she needed extra testing and it hadnt arrived yet. they said everything is okay, and once they get that we will get the visas. I know standardly, if you're given a 221g your status checker is changed to "Refused" My mothers changed to "Refused" And mine stayed as "Ready" Is this a good sign?
  6. i wonder if they just keep their responses sent to you & not the message you sent them
  7. i noticed this - but also realistically do you think they take the time out of their day to print it out and put it into your file physically? or just respond and move on
  8. just a random question, seeing as i know so many people send in emails. i wonder what happens to them
  9. @Boiler what do you make on this situation? do you think he verbally approved me because he would feel to bad to reject me at the interview, and would deny me after the fact? im not sure what to make of it. specifically because i asked so many times, and he said i'd be okay. the only reason we got a 221g was because my mom had to submit extra testing for her medical. if not, he said we wouldve got it right away
  10. random question, do you guys believe the montreal embassy keeps all emails sent in your file?
  11. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but in a few months we will be immigrating from canada to Georgia. We will be traveling to the POE by car. We will only be carrying household items with us, no furniture or anything. When we cross the border with our car & our visas, what papers or requirements will we need for the car itself?
  12. ive been thinking about it. since canadians aren't legally allowed to adjust status during the immigration process and must ABSOLUTELY go through consular processing, that maybe the DOS us embassy in canada uses filing date to calculate cspa, giving canadian citizens more leeway than other embassies overseas
  13. anyway, if the consulate officer told me 3 times i havent aged out, didnt hand me a refusal due to aging out, thats a good sign right lol
  14. we have to wait a few weeks for my moms extra medical tests to be sent in, but he said once they get those we'll both get the visas and not to worry
  15. update; they said i qualified and havent aged out. i asked three times to make sure. im starting to believe most of the stuff i see on these forums isnt even accurate
  16. yeah she doesn't have an account i didnt know i had to specify or how serious these forums take anything you say lol
  17. i think im more just worried about not being eligible for visa & being scrutinized at the border when i try to go visit my family, if they do somehow have that information
  18. its just such a weird scenario. because i plan on getting married to an american next year anyway, and i dont want being denied to make it harder for me to get married (or look like we were only getting married for a green card).
  19. is it even worth consulting a lawyer for this before the interview? i mean ive clearly aged out based off dates and calculations, but my mom keeps insisting its up to the visa officers discretion (its not, i think shes just in a state of denial)
  20. no, it isnt. it's being brought up because adjustment and consular processing CSPA age are calculated differently. For consular processing, they use CHART A (FInal action date) The day your priority date becomes current. For adjustment, they use CHART B (Filing date). Unless I'm completely wrong about everything I've read on this topic?
  21. i feel like the photo i posted explains everything perfectly. im just so stressed out and i feel bad that my mom has to deal with the stress of leaving her daughter behind
  22. yeah i know. i have 2 people telling me im incorrect for some reason when ive done so much research for this & i put "per DoS guidelines" in title. i guess it really is hard to believe that they would calculate it differently
