On the 20th August began many feb 23 approvals, I saw it by searching a feb 23 case number on the case track app, filtering by chronological order and then by i-129f, there's several pages of approvals and RFE from the 20th-30th august showing that they're starting to process that day consistently, presuming they'll resume this week too since the holiday for the US is over now. Keep your head up!

Y'ALL!!! We got approved yesterday. My fiancé just showed me. Apparently they are working! We did not get an email though, we had to check the USCIS website.

As much as it sucks and I am upset and mad and it's unfair, they do say the process can take up to a year and we personally were prepared for that to be the case when we filed. No one can control USCIS and there's genuinely nothing we can do, it'll happen when it happens. I know we all miss our partners etc but at some point you have to focus on the positive.

The official USCIS estimations have reduced; used to be 12 months, then 11.5 months, now it currently displays 10 months. In addition, my inquiry date (filed March 4) is now April 25th 2025, whereas it was originally June 26th 2025. It's reduced 3 times so far and so that's good news.

I know a lot of us thought it would be a fast process because it was for the majority of the 2024 filers, but we personally didn't base too much dependency on that happening; USCIS is so unpredictable and even historically you can see that. It's not fair and it's not right, but please remember to put your health first; I'm not saying don't be sad or mad, but being too angry etc it'll only affect your health more. I know it's easier said than done, but I know first hand how bad my mental health was getting in the last few weeks and I really just took a step back & realised that it'll all be okay.

I hope you guys will be okay, I worry about people a lot because I know it's such a struggle.
    Hang in there

A post has been removed because of several instances of thinly disguised profanity, along with a post quoting those instances.

The applicable provision in VJ's Terms of Service is:
"Use alternative characters to spell profane or scatological words, or post images containing such words, to bypass VisaJourney's language filter."

Folks, we've all felt like cursing, punching walls, and worse during this infernal process.  It's perfectly understandable to express frustration, but please do so in family-friendly fashion.

I've already done this three times, they repeatedly just tell me I am assuming that my case has been skipped despite the fact it is hundreds of cases in the same 2 week period at the end of feb and start of march, it doesn't matter what I say, they just find some b.s crappy answer to give, these employees are lower level sort of customer service so its not like they can even tell me anything useful anyway and any time I ask to speak to a higher level employee or a supervisor im also met with the generic bs it isn't possible answer

Call USCIS and bug them. Skip the entire nightmare that is the customer service bot and say you need to "Reschedule an interview" and then say "interview" and you'll go straight to a real person. Maybe if enough people bring it to their attention they'll look into it. I know how federal emploeees can just easily forget things and sometimes don't have much oversight For all we know, it's a classic case of incompetence and they haven't even noticed yet

Honestly it is a huge joke at that point, mine said May 17th 2024 and June 25th 2024.. I filed march 4th & I'm seeing approvals from late May now.. even in the 20s! But the specific last week of February and first week of march are literally untouched. My inquiry date is 15th June 2025 and that's ridiculous, I know people in the past waited over  a year etc but come on, the times have clearly sped up, if people are being approved from filing in late May which is just around a month ago or less, why are we left waiting more than 4 months, it's all the cases in specific time slots, first week of march end week of feb.. how is that fair. just because we filed in a certain week?

I don't know, the process has definitely made me salty/bitter. & I know people say people before waited over a year be patient etc and ok yeah but that was covid, backlogs etc etc, if there is mass approvals in under 60 days why are we waiting with no ability to inquiry or see why we are being skipped etcetc? the wild thing was seeing an approval in under a month.. I'm at 4 months now. Like seriously? It's so depressing.

We pay the fee too, we file earlier yet we get ignored and left behind simply because we fall in a specific week they decide "yeah that time frame can wait"..? what logic is that

    Hi,
I don't recommend you wait the 30 days to hear from NVC! They will push your case to the back burner. Send them an inquiry after 7-10 days from your NOA2 date asking if they have received your case and for the case ID and invoice number. They will say they haven't received your case but at least it will bring it to their attention. Then send them another inquiry after 15-20 days after you NOA2 date asking them for case number and invoice number, by that time they will give it to you.  I also recommend sending them a third inquiry after you have your case letting them know your email and your fiance's email. I saw this in one of the guides here and I did. After about the 30 day mark I asked NVC when they will send it to the embassy and told me when they would send it. My fiance also received an email when it was sent. It may have been overkill on my part 😅 but, I was on top of them based on the advice of them folks here an seems to have worked. Now I am just waiting on the embassy to schedule an interview.

it really is such a joke. we just heard about someone's case getting approved in barely over a month. all the while those of us from this super specific timeframe are stuck waiting while they just ignore our piles of cases and fast track everyone else. i'm not sure if i should assume incompetence or just malice. either seems likely. while these people get approved in barely over 30 days, we're expected to what, wait 2 years?
and i'm not allowed to submit an inquiry until MAY of 2025? what a joke. take the money and then look the other way it seems.

"Based on timeline data, your I129f may be adjudicated between May 27, 2024 and June 20, 2024*."
well that came and went, didn't it?

That's what we thought to but kinda different - a bunch of us filers from the first week of March (1st until 6th) have a theory that they just cut a % of cases regularly and consider them backlogs - kinda like what you said like a different pile. it's random etc. Since last week of Feb experienced the same as the first week of March. We think that those cases get randomly set into a different pile & processed at a slower rate. So, the majority or normal cases are being approved and they're currently approving April/may filers, even some June, as a fast rate, some even under 40 days, then there's the other pile considered 'backlogs' that get approved at a seriously slower rate than the newer cases.

The way you said is really the only logical explanation - there is no way the cases being left behind are as a result of slower workers, there's hundreds if not a few thousand cases between Jan, Feb and March that are untouched, especially Feb and March having entire weeks (last week feb and first week march) completely untouched. There's no way that slow workers are responsible for that amount of cases haha. It can definitely contribute to it, but it can't possibly be the entire reason.

Hopefully they go back / start speeding up soon - it's comforting in some ways to see that we aren't alone, but it is darn emotionally challenging to work through and especially for those who have severe anxiety. I wish us all the best & will pray! ❤️

in the exact same frustrating spot. filed a day after you (Feb 29th), case received a day later, and got our NOA1 about a week after. then absolutely nothing. we were expecting and ready for the wait, but then seeing people who filed after us get approved before us has been incredibly disheartening. like literally, what possible reason could there be to skip such a large batch of filers? they take our money then sit on their hands. sad.

I also filed on the same day as you . My hopes were high because before the holidays It was moving fast and I got to the front of the line . Next thing you know , A STAND STILL , showing the same results you have . It’s discouraging because you see people filing after us getting approved. I understand the feeling , our time will come soon .

As someone at the NVC stage seeing people pass us, I will warn you, the next stage isn't necessarily as cut and dry.  And there's no website like TMVN to even track your place.

Nevertheless, stay positive and I wish you the best of luck in the next stage!

Akuadei0317 reacted to J.M. in Did any multiple filers actually get approved?
My ex is from the Philippines, here through K1 process.  We were married for 5 years, then divorced.  I applied for a 2nd K1 approximately one year after divorce.  It was approved and her visa is already in hand.  My ex is still in the US.  She is a US citizen now.  That was one of my conditions for divorce, so the I-864 would be nullified.  I don't think my previous marriage was even discussed at the interview, other than to be sure she knew it existed.

Other than your continued obligation for potential support, through the I-864, your ex has nothing to do with you or your petition.  She is on her own, like any other ex.  Since you already have NOA2, you have already met the requirements for YOU.  All that is left is for your fiancée to meet HER requirements.  I doubt the consulate will do much more than advise her that you have done K-1 before that didn't work out and question her a little more vigorously about your relationship.  They are not match-makers.  Their sole job is to look for fraud or legal reasons for denial.  Have your fiancée take plenty of evidence of your relationship.  Make sure she is well informed about your divorce, why it happened, and very comfortable discussing it during the interview.

I am hesitant to compare the interview process for the Philippines to India.  I have no idea what is asked in India.

You are not the first to get a second K-1, but your divorce date vs your filing date is really close together, so that is why she might get extra questioning about it.  Prepare her for that and you should be fine.
