At my EB1-A interview on the 22nd, I was only asked one question - Tell me about yourself. Gave her the elevator pitch I have been giving prospective employers in the US and the CO approved my visa.

Yes, the immigrant visas won't be issued until October 1st. That's what DOS said in the link.
Just refreshed my status now and my visa has been issued few minutes ago. EB1-A too, so it appears anyone that had an interview held and visa approved at the interview before the numerical limit was announced will get a visa.

Just refreshed my status and my visa has been issued now!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!

When did yours update to AP? they didn’t touch my case until yesterday morning since it was Bank Holiday on Monday.
Same. Changed from Ready to AP yesterday and then shows that my file was updated today again.

Thank you, I’m trying to remain as patient as possible 😅
I also had my interview last week Thursday and was approved at the interview but status shows "AP". Please keep us updated

The annual limits for EB1, EB3 & EW, and EB5 have all been reached, so if you are EB1/3/5 and you don't have an interview scheduled yet, chances are you'll need to wait until the new fiscal year (October).

Any idea if this will mean that persons who have had their interview and were approved at the interview but yet to have their visa issued will need to wait until October?

How long did it take after interview to get your visa back?

How long did it take everyone to get their passport back? I was told I am approved at the interview. The next day my CEAC status shows that my application was updated, but it still says "Ready"

Hello everyone,
Quick question for those who have received their IV and have immigrated to the US already, please, once invitation letter is received and medical examination appointment is booked, anything else to do after medicals and before interview?
I saw online somewhere that you must confirm your appointment date online and while you are confirming your appointment online, you will be asked to register with the Embassy's contracted courier service for the return of your documents if your application is successful. Is this true? This is not stated on my IL. Or is this arrangement for return of passport/doc made during the interview?
Thanks.
Yes, you need to do this and create an account using the same email you used for your DS260/NVC registration. If you are in London, you can do this here: http://ais.usvisa-info.com

Hi everyone, I am an EB1A applicant at Ankara with DQ 08.2023. I have been current from the first day, although people with DQ 03.2024 got IL at Ankara, I have been still waiting. I think, they skipped my case. is it normal? Is there anything to do?
Email both the NVC and the consulate, highlighting this and confirm there are no issues. I'd email at least twice monthly until they respond and clarify what's going on.

For the EB1A Visa interview:
Has anyone faced questions related to financial support? For example, how you will support yourself when you enter the US?
Additionally, have there been any questions about employment? I don't have a job offer at the moment.
For EB1-A, you don't need a job and if the CO asks, you let them know you plan to start applying/working your network upon arrival in the U.S. It is best to go with a statement of your account in the unlikely event they ask how you will support yourself while looking for a job / setting up your company.

Mine did, it said 'in transit' and then 'ready'. But CEAC is pretty unreliable so I wouldn't worry.
Understood, thanks!

And what does it say on the page above?
Does an EB petitioner's CEAC status change after NVC couriers their file to the US consulate in London? Received my IL but CEAC status still says "At NVC".

Just received my IL - for September 25th, 2024. DQ was July 7th 2024.

Was it definitely an immigrant visa? Not a K1? If so I think it was just coincidence, as it’s NVC that schedules the interviews for IV’s.It was an EB1-A.

@HillBFirst of all, thank you for your response. It has been frustrating waiting for IL for the last six months. I emailed the NVC twice and also contacted the embassy, but they are giving me templated answers, saying that the NVC will schedule the date, while the NVC says that the Brussels embassy will schedule the date. I can try again, but I don't think they will arrange my interview. If you have any contact details, please share them. Many thanks in advance.
Apologies, finally found the chat. This was Sweden not Brussels.

Anyone waiting for IL at Brussels embassy.
Category: EB1A
DQ: January 2024
PD: May 2018
Waiting for interview letter.....I can't find my chat with the guy anymore, but someone told me he emailed the embassy to let them know he had done his medicals and has been DQ's and they scheduled him for an interview within a week. Apparently you have to reach out to the consulate to tell them you are ready for an interview and then they request your file from the NVC.

Did you not get an email? You should have done - check your junk folder if you haven't already?
Finally got a DQ email over a week after they had already responded to my inquiry confirming I had been DQ'd.

It’s good that it has been received electronically but NVC emailed on 26th June demanding once again for New Sealand Police Clearance despite it was uploaded by NVC on 15th of June electronically. What I think is paper based application issue and my NZ clearance was send electronically that is NZ police operating procedures accepted by USA consulate in Auckland and not NVC, as they are strict on their criteria. Please guide
Maybe write to the embassy and notify them that NVC will only accept a paper copy so they need to mail it to NVC with a copy of your NVC welcome letter

I have send my documents for EB2 NIW to NVC , but New Zealand Police Clearance is mailed directly to US Consulate Auckland and they don't disclose to candidate applying for Police Certificate which they received and forwarded to NVC on 22 May , as confirmed by US consulate.
On 27th June NVC demanded New Zealand Police Certificate and when contacted US Consulate they confirmed its uploaded to my file by NVC on 15th of June. I have contact NVC enquires and they said to write letter which i did before sending .
There is no way to contact NVC except public enquiry and on this channel its standard reply and its almost third time i am sending letter to NVC , what to do. This is paper based mailing and I think they don't accept electronic communication and New Zealand Police Conviction is sending electronically, please guide what to do.
When did you submit your DS-260 and mail the documents to NVC?
