Ahh!! Congrats 🥳 mine went to application received on Jan 2 and it’s been a minute making me anxious so I wanted to see how yours went. I saw the date changed today on mine but still shows the same “application received”, hopefully soon!

I just got my passport in hand today, thank God (Alhumdollilah). This whole process took exactly 2 years and 6 months 7 days, starting from first application to passport in hand. From visa, it is written that AP clearance received on Oct 2, 2024.
But I did not get any sealed packet because they send a welcome letter and it is written that "your immigration supporting document is entirely electronic now". But it is also written that the landing fees has to pay before giving landing online.
What does this mean, can I pay fee online anytime or on day when I am giving landing in person? Does anyone have any experience about it.

I just received consulate email with the tracking # today, my visa was Issued on Jan 6. I hope I will get my passport tomorrow hopefully. 

Hello Everyone, My status Changed from Issued to Refused. My case was approved (status = issued) on Jan 2 and then back to Refused on Jan 9. Does anyone experienced this before:

Interviewed at Montreal for Eb2 category- March 2024 - Put to AP
Received request for 2nd Medical & Passport in Oct 2024
Sent my medical and Passport end on November 2024
Few updates on the files after that
Status changed to Issued on Jan 2
Waiting for tracking number and checked the status on CEAC again today.
It is back to Refused on Jan 9
 
Does anyone knows any similar case or anything like this happened to anyone before ?

Hi. Former lurker, first time poster.
 
Had my interview last year, May 10, got the dreaded form along with a request for a new criminal record check, filled it out and after waiting for two months started inquiring every two weeks. Back in October 2024, the consulate actually called me and said they're ready to finalize my visa, but that my former medical exam expired in four days and said they could do it, but that it may be best to redo the medical. So I did, getting it done at the end of November.
 
Now it's radio silence. Supposing they were on holidays, but my patience is wearing. My fiancee started this whole process back in 2023. I miss her. Painfully. So I guess I'm adding my name and post here to mostly vent. @_@

You will be automatically issued your SSN upon activation of your visa.  It should arrive about 2 weeks after you activate and cross the border.  If you don't receive it, head into a SSA office and they can check in the system as to whether or not a number has been assigned.  You may require an appointment for your local SSA.  
 
When you arrive at the border, the CBP will confirm your address.  If it hasn't shown up as updated to the new one, they will input the address then so your greencard goes to the correct place, especially if you've already paid the fee and the address listed was your old address.  If not and you're paying the fee now, put your new address into the system. 
 
I'm happy to see so many of these cases are FINALLY being cleared.  Definitely needed before the next administration takes office!

My visa is Issued today. The passport was delivered on Nov 27 and medical was delivered on Dec 3, I had case updates on both these dates and also unsolicited updates on Dec 9 & 10. Finally, it is issued today. 
Can anyone tell that when we receive the email including the passport tracking #, I mean after how many days after the visa is issued.

i sent passport and new medical both said they were received nov 19. I have had 3 unsolicited updates since then the last being dec 6 but it’s still showing refused. It has been 5 weeks now since they have received everything.
 
Anyone else in the same boat as me? The wait is really starting to make me anxious especially since i see people around the same time getting approved already. 

On Friday our status changed from Refused to Application Received (new medical was done 12/6 and they sent out on 12/13) so hoping for good news this next week. Hope to see everyone get their visas soon!

We got a random update yesterday it turns out. The first random one since June. Our interview was back in May. 
 
They already have his passport so they shouldn't need a new medical or police interview if this gets processed soon. Fingers crossed but trying not to get my hopes up too much just yet.

I wonder if it's because it's an election year. 😅

I wrote to my Republican Congressman despite the odds and shockingly got a reply today that they would be happy to contact them on our behalf. They sent me a form to fill out and send back. 
 
I don't know if that will actually help move things along, I know others have not had success with it, but I don't think it will hurt.
