I wanted to share an update regarding the petitions I filed for my father and brother. After waiting for 11 months, I received a Request for Evidence (RFE), to which I promptly responded with all necessary documents to substantiate our relationship. Fortunately, my brother's petition was approved within three days of submitting the RFE online.
However, I encountered a setback with my father's petition. Due to some technical issues, somehow crucial supporting documents couldn't be transferred to USCIS online. Unfortunately, this led to the denial of my father's petition without prior notification. In response, I filed an EOIR-29 Notice of Appeal in March 2024. It has been two months since then, but I haven't received any updates from USCIS yet.
I'm reaching out to inquire if anyone else has faced a similar situation and if so, how long it took for their EOIR-29 appeal to be approved. Your insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
