  1. I submitted e-ticket vouchers, Air BnB receipts, hotel receipts, and lots of photos. I'm 29 and he's 25, we don't have any associated religion but we're just average 20 year-olds honestly. We've been together since the end of 2018 and got married at the end of 2021. I'm from Toronto, Canada and he's from Pennsylvania in the US. We're going to submit his passport as secondary evidence and do what you said, highlighting that it says COUNTY and clearly says the state as well on the banner. I'm also going to add more ticket receipts since they never stamp my husband's passport when he enters Canada and they've only stamped mine twice over the years of travel.
  2. UPDATE: My husband got the letter. They said his birth certificate doesn't prove his residence because it says he was born in Lebanon...but he wasn't. He was born in Lebanon COUNTY in the USA... The birth certificate clearly says "county" not "country" under Lebanon. So we're stumped at this point if we should submit different evidence for it or talk to a real person to explain? It also says we didn't submit enough evidence to prove our relationship but I submitted all of the evidence we have of photos and travel to each other over the last 5+ years, along with our marriage license. We obviously don't have any financial ties or own any shared property, or any government documents together since we live in different counties... so we're confused at what more they could want at this stage.
  3. We filed online so everything is uploaded that I can see. Really curious what more they'd want...guess it's a waiting game again to see.
  4. Finally got an update on July 26th, 2024 stating a request for additional evidence was sent... 😪 this is so frustrating after waiting over a year for an update. My husband hasn't received the letter yet though. We're guessing that it may be because he was visiting me for 5 months when we submitted the forms so he was taking a hiatus from his job but has been back at it for over a year now since we submitted. But we won't know until he gets that letter.
  5. My husband and I are still waiting for our approval. Our case has been under active review since June 10th, 2023 and it's been saying "taking longer than expected" for months now. Hoping we finally hear back this week or next week! Will update when we get information.
