    Nope. We attempted expedite twice during I-130. Once with the help of a congressman whose office told us we had a very strong case, they thought we’d be pushed through. Denied both times. Expedite at USCIS stage is nearly impossible. We applied for my visa 490 days ago (August 2023) and had to wait out the entire I-130 process per normal wait times (15.5 months). NVC only took us a few weeks to get through to be DQ’ed and then we requested expedite 2 days after being DQ’ed. It took 30 days to hear back regarding the interview expedite.

    Hello, our case was approved for expedite at the interview stage in Montreal. Wait times for interviews are 5-6 months currently, with expedite it’s much faster. But how much? We got approved for expedite on Friday and it said that the consulate would be in touch to book our interview. Has anyone recently been through this to know an average timeline? Right now it says for visa status in CEAC that our visa is in transit to the consulate. thank you,

    Husband received the notification via text that “USCIS has taken action on your case”. He immediately logged in and went straight to the documents tab. That’s where he found our approval letter. Sorry what’s your approval date? They are apparently working on mid October my husband said for welcome letters. I’m hoping we hear in about 2 weeks if that’s the case.

    Well, I posted this late last night… and tonight WE GOT OUR APPROVAL!! 441 days in USCIS. Crying tears of joy!!

    My stomach and brain can’t handle much more of this. 441 days is far too long to wait for just that first approval. I am crossing everything that our 7 month old gets to meet her US family before her 1st birthday but with everyday passing that seems less and less likely. I am so tired of people telling me to “stay positive” or “prepare for NVC”, I’ve been prepared! Since June! Preaching to the choir here but at least all of you Aug filers get me. Hoping that we hear something this week. August 16, 2023 filer.

    Any other new approvals? Anyone see more 15th approvals or past that date? We are the 16th. Really hoping for an approval this week.
