  1. I sent our passports to the consulate last Friday but didn’t receive any notification that they were received. ais.usvisa-info.com has a tracking number, and it shows “Expected delivery” status. I’m a bit worried because it was supposed to be delivered by now I think. How to find out the actual delivery status?
  2. By the way, this turned out not to be the case. Now I know for a fact that they get e-mails if they are not followed by autoreplies.
  3. Hi guys. My case is a bit different but still want to share my update. DV case, interview was in November 2023. Was put into administrative processing and asked for CVs both of me and my husband. Jul 15 - we sent an inquiry to the consulate. Jul 19 - case updated. Jul 29 - case updated. Jul 30 in the morning case was updated again. And in the afternoon, we got a request for an updated medical, new photos and passports. So for us, it was a nine-month wait for the CV review.
  4. Have you got an actual response from the consulate on that second letter?
  5. I know they are slow. What I don’t understand is why some people still get automatic replies after a letter, and some stopped getting them. I talked to a friend who is also in AP and they also didn’t get auto-replies for the last three inquiries. And all three inquiries are left with no response so far (it’s been six weeks since the first one). But today they tried a different e-mail, and they got an auto-reply. I don’t think software can act that inconsistently, there must be some explanation. Maybe it’s just a crazy conspiracy theory but when there is a high chance to be left out without a visa, all sorts of things come to mind.
  6. I haven't received an automatic reply on my last inquiry to Montreal, and neither has my husband. And there were no actual responses on these inquiries. I have a suspicion that we are blacklisted, and they didn't get these letters at all. Because today we tried to send one more letter from another email that we never used before, and we received an automatic reply just fine. What do you think, can this be the case? Are we blacklisted? By the way, we didn't spam the consulate with letters. We sent about one inquiry per month. And that's only because our case is a DV case that has a September 30 deadline, so we can't just let it go and wait.
  7. Yes exactly, I use the charts by Xarthisius and the Case Tracker mobile app. I don't think there is a forum specific for Montreal, maybe just a general one. Yep, I'm pretty sure they won't move your case to another country if you can't prove a residency. 😕 The best you can do here is prepare everything you can for an interview and just let it go. Most Montreal DV cases from DV23 have been resolved. So the statistics is not bad, no need to give yourself an extra pressure on this.
  8. By the way, I'd be more than happy to fill out the spreadsheet. I tried to do it a while ago but had an impression that my case is not relevant there.
  9. Hi, my husband is a DV24 winner. We are temporary residents of Canada, so we had an interview at Montreal last November. Our case number is small, so a year ago we were pretty sure we would be moving to US by summer 2024. If I had any idea how it all would turn out, I would do my best to transfer to another consulate. As you probably guessed, Montreal put us in administrative processing. They didn't give us DS-5535. Just the resumes of me and my husband were asked. My husband's profession is in TAL. But I'm not sure why I am being verified as well though. I guess Montreal doesn't need much reason. 🤷‍♀️ So it's been six months of AP for us. So far we only received standard responses to our inquiries. September is getting closer, and we have no idea if we get approved. Sorry if it sounds scary, but on the other side - I follow all Montreal 221g DV cases, and a bunch of them got approved in 2-3 months after the interview. So far just 5 cases, including ours, have been stuck since Oct-Dec 2023.
