  1. That is awesome news! Congratulations! 🎉
  2. Thank you! Really glad the officer kept their word this time hehe.
  3. At the end of the interview, the immigration officer told us she would be processing the application and that my wife would be receiving her conditional green card in the mail within two weeks. She also explained the process for removing conditions within the 90 days before the conditional green card expires. We just received the official approval notice in the USCIS portal this morning.
  4. Hi everyone, I’m happy to share that my wife successfully passed her interview today! We prepared all the documents mentioned in the interview letter, but the immigration officer only requested my divorce decree and my daughter’s birth certificate. The interview was more of a conversation than question and answer like many YouTubers describe. I hope everyone who is still waiting receives a response soon. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about our experience.
  5. Hey everyone, just wanted to share an exciting update. My wife got a notification from USCIS earlier this week that her interview has been scheduled for June 26, 2025! We honestly weren’t expecting it to happen this quickly, so it definitely caught us by surprise. We’re still waiting on her SSN to come through, hopefully it arrives soon so I can add her to my bank accounts (my banks require SSN). I know that co-mingling of finances is one of the things they look for as evidence during the interview, so we’re trying to get that sorted as soon as we can.
  6. Thank you so much! Got it— I had a feeling that was the case. Appreciate you confirming!
  7. I've got some good news to share! We received notice today from USCIS that my wife's EAD application has been approved. While checking the status of her I-485 AOS application, I saw that Step 3 of 4 — "Attend Interview" — is marked as completed. Does this mean the interview has been waived and we're now just waiting for the final case decision?
  8. We filed on the 5th and received our NOA along with Biometrics appointment date on the 9th. Good luck everyone!
  9. Thank you! Her medical was this past December so we are good! Appreciate your help.
  10. Hi everyone, My wife and I recently got married and are preparing to file the I-485 Adjustment of Status. I’ve come across conflicting information online: does she need a new medical exam with updated vaccination records? She previously had a medical exam during consular processing; does this exempt her? Also, do we need to submit any related documents with our application? Thank you!
  11. I’m excited to share that we just picked up my fiancé’s visa at LBC! A big thanks to both of you for your guidance throughout the process. Here’s our timeline: - 1/16: CEAC status changed from “Application Received” to “Approved” and then “Issued” all in the same day. - 1/17: Received an email with tracking information from LBC. - 1/18: LBC tracking updated to “Ready for Pickup.” We were fortunate to secure her CFO seminar appointment for 1/20. Thanks again for all your support!
  12. Hello everyone, Great news—my fiancé successfully passed her K1 visa interview yesterday! 🎉 I was wondering if anyone has any recent data points on the timeframe from the interview to receiving the visa in hand? I've checked the forums, but the timelines seem to have varied quite a bit over the years. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!
  13. I'm sorry to hear that. Tread carefully my friend.
  14. This is exactly what I experienced. You have to wait until the CEAC status changes to "Ready" before the website will recognize the NVC case number.
  15. Yes! The status changed to "Ready" last Friday. I was able to pay the MRV fee and schedule her visa interview for January 7, 2025. I've also booked her biometrics appointment for December 24 and her medical exam for December 26. I'm currently working remotely from the Philippines with my fiancé, and my boss approved extending my trip until we have visa in hand. The light at the end of the tunnel is finally in sight 😊
  16. LOL! Awesome, that's super quick. Hopefully ours is the same.
  17. Thanks @J.M.! @Edward and Jaycel how long did it take for your case to change to "Ready" status from "In Transit"?
  18. Thank you! This puts my mind at ease. I was concerned there might be an issue that would take time to request support and resolve.
  19. I was notified today that our case has been transferred from the NVC to the U.S. Embassy in Manila. I have completed the DS-160 and filled out most of the visa application on the U.S. Visa Scheduling website. However, I am encountering an issue on the final page, where it requests our NVC case number and payment option. When I attempt to submit the information, I receive the following error: "The Case Number entered is invalid. Please confirm your Case Number and re-enter it." Currently, our CEAC status shows as "In Transit." Do I need to wait until it changes to "Ready" before I can pay the visa fee?
  20. Logged into USCIS this morning and saw that my case was sent to NVC yesterday!
  21. That's super helpful and encouraging—thank you! Sounds like we're only a few weeks away now. Fingers crossed!
  22. No news here. It's been 51 days since NOA2. Still waiting for NVC to receive the case.
  23. Thank you so much 😊 I'm crossing my fingers! That's good to know - things are moving along at least. Next month, I'm heading to the Philippines to visit my fiancé, as well as my grandparents and friends, for about a month. I don't expect we'll have an interview date by that time, and I'm at peace with that. My plan is to fly out again before the interview and stay until she has her visa in hand. Afterward, we'll fly back to Chicago together.
  24. Thanks for the update! Ours was approved on Sept 10. We've been waiting 34 days and are hoping it's sent within the next few weeks. Have you tried escalating your case to your local representative as @apnzz suggested? You can also submit a new inquiry. I've submitted two so far and they always include this verbiage: "If you have not received a communication from NVC about this case within 60 days from the I-797 approval notice, please contact us again."
