  1. My aunt was to appear for the N-400 for naturalization interview but missed it. She did not followed up with them to reschedule, and her case was administratively closed. She has not done anything after that. 1. Now over 2 years later she needs to renew her Green Card to return to see family overseas, will the N-400 being closed affects her Green Card renewal? 2. She wants to try again in a few years to apply another N-400 once exempted from the English portion of the test. Will they deny her for missing the old N-400 interview?
  2. I don't believe that is true. I watch "Jackie" on Youtube and she said it is fine to not file taxes when you don't meet the threshold to file. USCIS can't make up their own tax filing rules. All people working in the US files taxes under the IRS rules, making over the standard deductions or $400+ in self employments triggers a filing requirement. To file a 0 income return, people need to mail that in.
  3. Alas, today I finally got my interview schedule for July 16 at 3PM.
  4. That was fast to get an interview date. What field office is this at?
  5. I have notice a pattern that everyone from the east coast wait much longer for interviews compare to the other coast.
  6. That's just someone from USCIS looking through your case.
  7. Still waiting for my interview notice. The unreliable countdown is now down to 3 months. Any other Boston area filers around still waiting 4 months+?
  8. I'm helping my parents apply for their N-400 and they are close to their 70s. Do they only need to pass the shorten 20 questions civics in their native language? They've been residents since the early 90s.
  9. That's a USCIS mistake, hope nothing will happened to them.
  10. C'mon, we all know USCIS' computer system is not sophisticated enough to do that. 🤣
  11. That's just a non answer. Everyone is in queue for an interview after they filed.
  12. They do name changes naturalization outside of courts here all the time, both my sisters were held in a hall venue.
