  1. Last week my I-130 was approved for my spouse/beneficiary (i did a direct consular filing) and I was sent a case number and a link to complete the DS-260, which I completed. Based on the US Embassy in Tokyo's steps.. it seems like I just need to prepare some paperwork then schedule a final interview. But some of it is not clear, but to my best understanding it is Complete the DS-260, get the confirmation PDF Get a sealed police report and bring it with me to the interview? or should mail it in first? Request an interview Once an interview request is granted, I receive a letter to do the health inspection do the actual interview is this correct?
  2. Me (American) has an interview at the US Embassy in Tokyo, about my I-130 petition for my spouse (Foreign). We also have a child who is a dual national and has a US passport. According to the checklist, I need to do the I-130, but it lists the I-864 as (optional for Tokyo, however required for visa issuance). 1. Should I just submit the I-864 as well? I tried calling the embassy hotline for visas, but they were not helpful 2. I am working on I-864 just in case.. and having trouble with Part 6 Question 8. Should I include the income of my spouse (foreigner)? I think my own income is enough to live by, but she still has her income from her current job that is not in the US. I also note that it mentions that intending immigrant (i guess my spouse) does not need to submit this if they dont have a dependent. But should our child be counted if she already is American? 3. Do I need to do the I-864A as well?
