  1. You will not get a new green card. When I got the approval letter for i-751 it mentions that given there's an oath ceremony schedued, they will not issue a new card.
  2. Question for those who have either got the oath ceremony notice or have naturalized. I asked a few people if I can bring 3 guests ( wife + two in-laws) to ceremony. My lawyer said it should say what is/is not allowed on notice. Did anyone have that info on their notice? If so, where? I have tried contacting my specific field office in Philly and also the USCIS customer service but to no avail
  3. Got an Oath Ceremony date and time — Friday, August 16th at 1:30pm
  4. Interview done. Ran about 30mins late, but was in and out of the interview in less than 15 minutes. My wife came as an n400 through marriage and an outstanding i-751. They said they didn’t need to speak to her. Officer was incredibly friendly. The civics questions were: - who is the President? - what does the constitution do? - why does the US flag have 13 stripes? - name a state that borders Canada - name a war the US fought in the 1800s - how many justices are on the Supreme Court? Aside from the standard questions you say no and yes to, I was only asked my name, DOB, if my parents were married before I was 18, my son’s name and my wedding date. I was told that I’d passed the n400 but something needed to be done with outstanding i-751 that would be dealt with by Monday, then I’ll get an Oath Ceremony date.
  5. So the answer is yes. Though he's not coming to my interview, my lawyer has advised bringing my wife, and when my name is called, tell the officer about the outstanding i-751 and that my wife is here should they want to speak to her (there is nothing on my interview notice letter that states it's a combo interview, even though it was mentioned in the cover letter of the application).
  6. Got an inverview date - July 24th at 2:15pm at the Philadelphia FO!
  7. How did you achieve that? I’d assume they’d have said to anyone right now we aren’t outside the window so don’t message us?
  8. I just randomly looked at my USCIS account . My i-751 case still shows but n400 has vanished. Presumably some tech glitch prior to the long weekend. Has this happened to anyone else before?
  9. Congrats - great timing. Hopefully a same day oath so your wife will be a citizen in time for the 4th!
  10. Correct, you can check online based on application type and your field office what an appropriate time to reach out is. I got my notice 2nd Feb and the date I can reach out if no movement is 15th Jan 2025. It also shows 80% in my FO (Philly) are complete in 8 months. Long story short, minivatreni is correct
  11. This is all very true. I applied 2nd Feb and still haven’t got an interview date. Am I sad to still be waiting? Yes. Am I worried something is wrong? No. I feel like I’d know by now if more evidence was needed or there was an issue. They are just taking my application slower than others for some unknown reason that I’ll probably never know. Just have to wait it out. And in the grand scheme of things, the n400 is one of the simpler and quicker processes
  12. I filed my 2023 taxes after I filed my n400 but I am using a lawyer and I did ask about that but they seemed to suggest what had been submitted was plenty. When asking why some applications have jumped ahead of me, my lawyer just said it could be a myriad of factors and that things generally in Philly (my local office) are moving along at a reasonable pace and just be patient
  13. I feel this - the waiting is tough, especially as people who filed after you get interviews and oath ceremonies, but good things come to those who wait!😀
