    @hplusj I’m sorry you are having difficulty with the NVC stage & hope you have good news soon! What is going on? We will also have our interview at the US Embassy in Joburg. I plan to add progress updates to help others in SA.

    Will they know I have once had a rejected I-129f petition before due to a rejected payment? I already resubmitted another petition. Made an error on the first one caught it & canceled the check.

    Does anyone know what happens when your packet gets rejected due to a payment not going through? 1. Do they scan the visa packet into the system if your payment is rejected? 2. Do they mail the packet back to you?

    I have an NOA1 number for both the first and second packet I turned in. The first packet will get rejected because I turned in a check that I canceled before they could process it. If I have an NOA1 number does that mean they scanned my packet into the system?

    I appreciate your response. It puts my mind at ease during this stressful & anxiety inducing process. SA said he is only prohibited for one year & it has been well past that. He has also traveled to another country in Africa without issue.

    Thank you for the different perspectives on this. I decided to cancel the check since I just mailed it out and it has not been delivered to Texas PO Box. The payment hasn’t been processed. The petition will get rejected due to no payment. Do they scan the petition into the system when they reject them without payment? Any chance they will return it to me? I tried to intercept the mail through usps.com but I am having issues with the website. I don’t want to give USCIS any reason to reject our petition for some minor ridiculous bs. I am going to mail out the petition again this Monday. I will expedite for $50.

    I just submitted the 129-F & it hasn’t even arrived at the facility yet. Is there any chance to cancel it before they process?

    I just submitted our Visa Packet & in our proof of evidence I have a text from my fiance where he refers to me as his wife. I also have him in my phone as “Hubby” can they deny our petition because of that? They are just nicknames!

    My fiancé overstayed his visa in another country (South Africa) when we vacationed together by a matter of hours. They prohibited him from visiting South Africa for one year and stamped it in his visa. It has been over a year. My fiancé is from Mozambique and his US Embassy interview needs to be in South Africa. My question is, can they deny his visa because of this? Is there anything he can do to prepare for the interview?
