Hi Guys. I have a question and would appreciate someone with experience on the same issue to answer it. I am a US citizen; I filed for my Mom, who lives in Nigeria. As of October 15, 2023, her application has been documentarily approved, but there is still no interview notice. I have tried to contact NVC through the public online inquiry form, and their response was that they will schedule the interview when they have available dates or visas. I am getting worried about this because my Mom stays by herself and I have no siblings who can take care of her. Is there a way to get her visa appointment scheduled soon or to know what has been the delay all this time? Her priority date is July 2022, her visa category is IR5, and her interview location is Lagos, Nigeria. Also, is there a possible way to expedite the process at NVC? Any positive feedback will be appreciated, guys.
