  1. The interview was in South Korea! This is helpful, thank you! Is the booklet form a hard cover? Or just regular paper that is bound together?
  2. My husband (British citizen) recently had his visa interview and the U.S. embassy said they cannot issue his visa until he gets a new Chinese police check because "it's not the one Customs & Border Control wants." We lived in Beijing from 2018-2020 and went through a Beijing-based lawyer to get the police check (notarized + translated). Every sample I've seen online looks like the one we have, but the visa officers said there is a specific one needed ("it has a hard cover, almost like a book"). They printed out a paper for us on how to get the one they want, but it's just a print out from the website that we already consulted to get the original check. Our check matches the website's description and I can't seem to find a sample of the one they want anywhere. Does anyone have a picture of one, or has anyone been successful in submitting one?
  3. The subject of the email was "Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment" and it came from National_Visa_Center@state.gov Date: Case Number: Invoice ID: APPLICANT NAME, The National Visa Center (NVC) completed processing your immigrant visa application and scheduled your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General, for processing. Appointment information is located at the bottom of this email. Only family members listed below in the Additional Applicant's section who are intending to immigrate at this time must appear at the Embassy/Consulate General on the appointment date. Then it gave some important info and links to checklists/interview prep.
