  1. Hi, I was accepted for DCF and my wife and stepdaughter have their appointment soon where they file DS-260, and provide I-864 + I-864 (sponsors) for each member since an I-130 was filed for each one. On the I-864 form on page 5 of 10 where it says Federal Income Tax Return Information do I click on 23a. checkboxes Yes or No? I was provided with a W2 and 1040PR forms, how do I input that information? Although Puerto Rico is a US Territory, we don't file Federal Income Taxes. Thanks for any help provided!
  2. Hello again, I currently work abroad and need to file the I-864. I also have a joint sponsor who provides W-2 and 1040s with sufficient income. I currently work abroad and have sufficient income but I was told and have read here that my foreign income is not considered. Since my foreign income is not considered, how would I fill out the I-864? Also, I'm petitioning my wife and stepdaughter. Do I need two I-864 from me, my wife, and my stepdaughter and two sponsors I-864 (one for my wife and one for my stepdaughter?)? Thanks for any help you can provide.
  3. Thanks! I already received sponsors W-2 and pending 1040s even though I currently work abroad and the reason I am moving is due to a job offer I accepted.
  4. I believe it's the same form number, etc. but instead of IRS, it's from Departamento de Haciendo from Puerto Rico.
  5. Thank you! Just in case I don't get them in time, is a W2 good enough? The reason I am asking is because I am from Puerto Rico, and their documents are different.
  6. I am in the second portion of DCF with a job offer that I accepted and currently work on but I have been living abroad for the past 3-4 years, I filed taxes while abroad but my income is in a foreign currency. Our sponsor gave me a copy of their W-2. Is that sufficient? Has anyone had this experience? I'm preparing all the documents for my wife's final interview. I also have a broker account + wife has her own savings. If anyone has had experience with this process I would appreciate any help or orientation. Sponsor income is more than 100k.
  7. From my current experience doing DCF in Mexico, they will decide if I-130 is approved or rejected on that day. If they decide your form is accepted, you will receive a follow-up e-mail with further instructions. I'm currently in the 2nd stage, doing form DS-260 and medical.
  8. Hello, I'm filling out form I-130 for my wife and stepdaughter, my only questions are regarding physical and mailing addresses and the signature from my stepdaughter who is 12 years of age. Do I use our current abroad address? I reside abroad and got approved to file using DCF. Thanks for your help!
  9. Hello, I'm new here, have researched DCF, and have some questions regarding my situation. I currently reside in Mexico, the state of Jalisco (I have a work permit) while working in the same state. I also recently got married on a trip to the US and was offered a job which I'm currently doing remotely but my employer wants me back sometime in December or could extend to January (My relationship before marriage started March-April 2018 with plenty of pictures/ events, family and friend testimony to confirm if needed.). I have filed taxes every year I have been abroad (traveled during the pandemic to Mexico) and have an affidavit of support in case my income is insufficient. I have had 0 luck contacting anyone in the GDL Consulate. A few days ago I decided to visit the location in person and was told by someone at reception on the street side that I should do DCF in the Mexico Embassy. After visiting the GDL Consulate, I searched online and found this forum with some cases of DCF being done through the Mexico City Embassy. I have found no contact information anywhere other than this number 55 5080 2000 to be able to talk about my specific case and see If I'm eligible for DCF. Don't know how to proceed. I don't want to fly into Mexico and be told I need an appointment. I appreciate any help, suggestions, or personal experiences since I'm completely lost as to how to get information and start the process if I'm deemed eligible.
