I34 Form - Supporting Evidence Query
ScarletWitch6x replied to SL2024's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I think we are leaving it off, because the more we list the more we have to prove 😕 I don't know how willing his bank would be to get the signed, officer letter the form asks for. i am torn though. I have the form all filled out except those spaces lol -
I34 Form - Supporting Evidence Query
ScarletWitch6x replied to SL2024's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
We are planning to only provide evidence that I, the petitioner, can support my fiance. My income is safely above the threshold, so I don't think we plan to take anything to show liquid assets to support. I have my IRS tax transcripts for the past three years, a letter signed and dated by my employer showing continued employment, and I will send recent paystubs. This will all be with the I-134 that I will sign and scan to him to take to the interview. Someone had posted a copy of the London Embassy letter where they asked for the I-134 and tax returns. -
Hepatitis B Question
ScarletWitch6x replied to SL2024's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I believe it is recommended that the AOS applicant carry the receipt notice (or a copy because I would be worried about losing it) to show their ability to stay in the US. I think that this is more of an issue in ICE hot spots around the border. Good practice to carry it whenever though, as many officers who don't deal with immigration documentation will have no clue what they are looking at. -
You can still submit an inquiry on the site without the case number. Link - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html?wcmmode=disabled Even if they aren't yet working on your case per the website you can ask your questions about next steps, or reference the FAQs. I will say, their site did not say that they were working on my case, and then within one day I was told the case was created and sent to the embassy via email. Their dates are a guideline but not necessarily 100% accurate.

I-129f 16.b. - Dates of Employment
ScarletWitch6x replied to Killowatts's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
There are a lot of fields on the I-129F form that won't fill properly. We just typed what we could and completed those fields in black pen with no issues. -

Questions related to NVC
ScarletWitch6x replied to Timothy V's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I just got my email! It came from NVC-do-not-reply@state.gov and they attached a copy of the letter that was most likely physically sent to my fiance This is 5 weeks after NOA2 and 3 weeks after myUSCIS says they sent it to the NVC. -
Questions related to NVC
ScarletWitch6x replied to Timothy V's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
The NVC was working on roughly 11 days worth of cases in one week, currently, it looks like they only did 5 last week. Mine should be in the 06/25 batch, and my NOA2 was 06/10 so it is looking like the 60 days might become the new normal. It sucks, because USCIS has gotten so much faster just to have another portion struggle. I know I am being impatient but this political climate is worrying and I just want everyone to be with their significant other/family members as quickly as possible. -

Question with booking interview
ScarletWitch6x replied to summer4042's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
I think you can probably schedule your interview for whenever then and try and get the medical completed at least 5 days before I think Visamedicals has been good about fitting people in! -
Question with booking interview
ScarletWitch6x replied to summer4042's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Nothing yet and no case number from the NVC quite yet. We got our NOA2 on June 10th! Did the embassy set the appointment for you? Do you know roughly when they are setting appointments for? I am SO excited for you!! -
Issue with 129f Form
ScarletWitch6x replied to DanielNJ's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Please reference the USCIS website for the most up-to-date information: https://www.uscis.gov/family/family-of-us-citizens/visas-for-fiancees-of-us-citizens https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f On both pages, there are links to more in-depth information. -
K-1 Process Clarification
ScarletWitch6x replied to cirenebrown's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Yes - that is most likely correct on the delays. My fiance and I thought the same. And yes - the 60 days was sent to me in an email from the NVC after an inquiry. Attached below. -
K-1 Visa while Divorce is in Process
ScarletWitch6x replied to Mohsin786's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Processing times will vary from case to case, consulate to consulate. It has been noted that the K1 process has sped up, but I know many people still advocate for the marriage visa route due to processing times. I would recommend checking your country's portal on this site to see the timelines of similar individuals I will also say that the TikTok immigration lawyers have really been pushing people to get their petitions filed on both K1 and marriage visas due to the uncertainty of the upcoming election. This potentially may cause a temporary backlog, but I do not have any evidence to support that claim as of yet. Just an observation. Getting married before you are divorced is not going to be seen as a valid marriage. Dating and an engagement during divorce proceedings may be speculated against more heavily, but as for individual laws criminalizing this, I would check your state and home country laws. Some states have laws that prevent marriage within so many months of a divorce from being finalized, etc. -
K-1 Visa while Divorce is in Process
ScarletWitch6x replied to Mohsin786's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
You just have to have met in person within the last 2 years, from the date USCIS receives your petition. If you are worried about the timeline being scrutinized I would recommend submitting extra proof of a bonafide relationship. I submitted evidence of our in-person meetings, but I also had proof of our friendship/relationship prior to those visits. In my intent to marry letter, I also mentioned the length of time we have been in each other's lives. -
K-1 Process Clarification

K-1 Process Clarification
ScarletWitch6x replied to cirenebrown's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Adding that the Inquiry form is now quoting up to 60 days for cases sent to them to be entered into the NVC system and a case number generated. I also noticed that the NOA2 approval date is not always the same date that they send the petition to the NVC. My NOA2 date was 06/10 but they didn't send it to the NVC until 06/25 per myUSCIS. -
Early to this but who will need ACRO
ScarletWitch6x replied to Display name1's topic in United Kingdom
This is the link for Visas at the UK Consulate - this may help provide guidance. https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/family-immigration/required-documents/ -
Have you tried contacting the embassy directly? I wasn't sure who you contacted by phone. If your case has been delivered you should be able to inquire there for the next steps. They also might be able to let you know what timelines look like for K1 interviews. Does your embassy/consulate have a website? I'm UK and I found their website the best source of information.

I submitted a follow-up inquiry hoping that my math was right and that the NVC would be working on my case. I think they took a long weekend due to the 4th, and they do not yet show it received. Today makes 4 weeks. In the auto-email I received they are now telling people it can take up to 60 days for them to receive and work approved cases at the NVC. I just wanted to share as I know this group, like me, is hoping for a quick turnaround to the embassy. Still could be before 60 days but with USCIS clearing a backlog and speeding up processing times I am sure they are getting bombarded.
