  1. Yeah, currently its a K1 Visa. Originally we thought Dublin would have been the way to go since she only holds Irish citizenship per the Good Friday Agreement. Unfortunately when we consulted an immigration Lawyer they were unaware on what todo so we took a gamble and did Dublin since she only lives two hours from there.
  2. Hi everyone, I received an Email from Dublin Embassy this morning that was responding about my inquiry for next steps but instead was told even if my fiancée holds Irish citizenship since she resides in Northern Ireland the case will be forwarded to London. Does anyone know the process of when a case is forwarded to a new embassy or how long it usually takes to get instructions from the next embassy? I'm just really confused on all of this and wanting to hear from others who may have faced the same troubles as I.
  3. Hi all on August 7th the NVC status went to status ready. However me and my fiancée both have not received any more instruction about our next steps. I had my fiancée fill out the DS-160 already and helped her book her medical but I see online that the Dublin Embassy is supposed to send me (the Petitioner) Some email on instructions on how to get her embassy interview set up. Has anyone recently had their case go ready at this embassy? Did you all get the packet on the next steps of instructions? If you went through Dublin in the past how long does it take to receive some kind of communication from them? I have emailed the embassy but I have not heard anything back.
  4. Thank you for the info! So in this case citizenship does not matter. The address takes precedent.
  5. I understand, but I guess I was just confused on which one to list on the i129f, I guess I will leave Dublin. Okay thank you! Appreciate it
  6. Even if my fiancée is an Irish citizen? She doesn’t have dual national status with the United Kingdom since the Good Friday agreement allowed people of Northern Ireland to choose
  7. Hello everyone! My fiancée is from Belfast, Northern Ireland(Born and Raised) and we are in the process of filling out the K1 Visa. She is an Irish citizen with an Irish passport, but we are unsure what Consulate/Embassy she will go to. Would it be Dublin? Or does Belfast do K1 Visa's? I've seen some people say London? I am totally lost on trying to figure which one to put on the I-129f Thanks! Best Regards, Nick
