Congratulations!! I’m also K-1 visa I had done my medical on the 8th but it was only sent to the us consulate yesterday. I sent my passport and it says that it was signed for on November 12th. However I do not see any updates on my ceac, the last update is Oct 23rd which is when they requested my documents. Does anyone know why there’s no unsolicited updates?

No updates on my end. Also still waiting for medical office to send in my results from nov 8th. This is super annoying

Which email did you use to ask Montreal consulate if they received your documents?

Does your CEAC say issued? I don’t think they would return your passport if your medical expired, they would simply send you another email requesting you to complete a new medical. Medical expires every 6 months. Maybe they issued you your visa?

The consulate received my passport on the 12th but I haven’t seen any updates on my ceac, I completed my medical on the 8th but still waiting on the doctor to send the results. Losing my mind honestly.

I think it varies for everyone, I’ve seen some people get issued their visas in a week after consulate received their documents and I’ve seen others wait 2-3 weeks, I’ve even seen over a month for some ppl. Let’s just hope they speed things up 😢

Thank you for your reply! I just see a link that takes me to instructions on how to send my documents and a list of approved courier services, and my delivery location I selected awhile ago. I also see 2 options for premium one for $26 and another for $24. Do you know anything about that?

I am Arab! I also am Muslim and wear the hijab. However, I was born and raised in Canada and have not travelled outside of the country. Im a university student! Possibly, my ethnicity or religion, but I was born and raised in Canada!

My visa type is the K-1 Visa, what would be some examples of proof? would a round trip be sufficient? and do you know if I would have to update the consulate that I am visiting?

I had my interview on the 16th of April at the Montreal consulate. The interview went good in my opinion but I and was handed a ds-5535 form and told to scan a QR code because they needed "additional info". Despite me being born in Canada, and having no record of travel in the last 15 years. I do not understand why I was given the form. My police clearance was clear, everything was clear. I really don't want to wait especially knowing how long this might take, does anyone know if I can visit the USA while this paper processes?
